“Wonderful trip and good value”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We took this trip to Ithaca with the Sami Star on 12th September for 25 euros, leaving at 8.45am and returning at 4.45pm. We had two stops at ports in Ithaca and two offshore stops for those who wanted to swim in the blue-within-blue seas. A gorgeous trip for us, with fantastic weather and the port towns we stopped in were wonderful, with amazing people, friendly shop owners and some nice places to eat and enjoy a chilled beer.

Our only disappointment was that we had just an hour at one port and two at the other, and would have liked longer, but they are both well worth seeing. Also, be prepared not to see much beyond one statue of Odysseus . . . if it's the mythology you want this is not the trip for you. The sea air, the sun, the fascinating island and the beautiful sea, though, are well worth this lovely boat trip - and the boat itself is like a copy of a small medieval ship.

It is a cruise where u can see a good part of the island (one beach, the main town and a beautiful small port) , the duration is about 8 hours, where u can swim in the beach for about 30 minutes at the begining ofthe trip and other 30 minutes when u return, they leave u to stay at town for one hour to do whatever u want and then u go to a port for 90minutes to eat, swimm, do whatever u want...
it costs 25€ ...
it Is A good idea for a daytrip...

“Worth a day out.”

Very reasonably priced & a quick cruise over to Ithaca. Worth seeing however, was expecting a little more greek mythology while in Ithaca so was a little disappointed although it is a beautiful place. Couple of degrees hotter than Kefalonia however so if going in high season, take lots of water!!
