For only 7 Euros we were able to see the cave and have a 10 minute boat ride on the lake. Anyone visiting Cephalonia must visit.

I know that the movie Big Blue was filmed on an Aegean island, but this place definitely deserved to star in that film as well. What fascinated me most was the fact that I was on a greek island having a totally unexpected experience. Me & my partner on a boat in a cave, almost alone. Since it was April it was still a bit chilly, but the sun came out and lit up the water through a hole in the roof. Fantastic!

Good place to visit. This was an underground lake in a cave before the 1953 earthquake when the roof collapsed making this a very interesting place to visit. Try to go when the sun is over the opening of the roof, the colours of the water and the flora and fauna are well worth worth seeing. It is not a big lake or a long tour but the boatmen are very knowledgeable and will help to take your photograph in the boat. We doubled up with a trip to Drogarati caves. A very enjoyable day out

This place should be at the top of the visit when on this island. Firstly it is one of the few attractions of this kind worldwide. Secondly it is an ennjoyable experience for adults and kids. Finally it cools you down on a hot day! Best time to visit is at noon when the sun shines through the opening at the top and gives amazing colours to the lake water.
