the property is right on the bank of the Vembanadu Lake in natural back water surroundings. as soon as u enter the property what strikes you first is the infinity pool. we were booked in a bamboo villa, which is a huge room with a toilet which had a natural ventilation. evenings can be spent sitting along the bank and watching the lovely sunset, its indeed a wonderful scene!
the downside of the property(which is obviously more than the pros) is the unfriendly staff & to add to it horrible room service. the food quality is really sad. the afternoon(late afternoon) we landed at the resort we placed an order for sandwiches and pizza. it seemed to take an eternity for our order to be prepared and served (this was inside the restaurant and not even room service) that too both substandard . The breakfast was just about OK. the restaurant is grossly under lit and a very peculiar smell to it that we dint feel good going over there and having meals. we had requested for a mosquito repellent the day we checked in and dint get it till we checked out i.e after 2 days!! to add to all this when we asked them where was their so called games room they said it was under renovation(imagine recreation room being under renovation during peak season) but were later shocked to see that it wasnt under renovation but had been transformed into standby dining room for a big group which had checked in!!!even at check out we had to wait for a staff to come & pick our luggage to the car but after almost 15 min of waiting we chose to take it ourselves. the only staff who we felt could help us was the person sitting on the travel desk who managed to get us a motor boat for a lake cruise(there were none available as this was @ new year eve).
all in all this is not a property suggested for a traveler who is looking for a good property coupled with equally good service.

The resort has an excellent location, overlooking the lake. We had booked a lake facing cottage, it was very comfortable and spacious. The beds were super comfy and all the amenities were available. The garden area overlooks the lake and it's very calming. The property was flawless and had a slightly rustic touch to it. The service was impeccable but the food was just average. The pool side looks absolutely beautiful at night.

I stayed in there in mid January , the weather was nice, I had a lake view cottage.
It was a wonderful view I advise to take a lake view cottage.
Rooms were clean large and well designed, service was good. And the management made me an (Onam Sadya), it was very nice of them.
The buffet and the food was nice, plus the Ayurvedic treatment center is near clean and have good service.
It's a wonderful place for someone who likes to have a quit and peaceful stay.

We landed around 1900 hrs from Thekkady. On seeing the Infinity pool with the pool lights on it was inviting. Right on the bank of the Vembanadu Lake in natural back water surroundings We had our rooms which were great and the best thing that I found was the attached toilets with natural Ventilation. The room were well stocked. The dinner buffet was a decent spread and also the morning breakfast buffet. The place is great for photography and you can get photographed facing the garden or facing the lake. Evening you can sit and watch the boats passing by and enjoy the sight. The only incident at the Restaurant that put us off was the service for À la carte ordered for Lunch. The hotel it seems has more interest in seeing that their buffet sells and we were clear that for half that money we could have it ordered from the menu.(we were 8 pax) The order was taken with a statement that it would take half an hour we agreed and accepted that. The food started arriving in piece meal ( the Indian breads came after the side dish was served. the kids almost finished the side dish before they got their Breads) I was the last to get up and it was 2hrs for serving the last man. We would have travelled and reached the next destination. It all happened in 2hrs because we kept pushing them. Some ordered items did not arrive at all until we asked for the same. This was the only thing that we thought should improve. Either abolish À la carte and sell only buffet or take care of people who have ordered on À la carte too. The bill took another 20min to arrive. But the bill had all the items right with right prices and no discount or sorry was offered on the bill.

Room Tip: Please don't order À la carte instead have the buffet but if you feel it is expensive then take...
