Overall experience was good, we had stayed for a night. The Food was avg. But the ambience of the Hotel was very fine. Exactly opposite the backwaters. In all a fine place to stay for a cool and calm place.

Room Tip: Opposite Lagoon shall be good.

Had stayed in this property for a Ayurveda treatment . The revive ayurveda spa is excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Doctor harshad and dr nahas deserve all the accolades for keeping up the place bustling and going.
We had stayed in the pool villa and the lake facing cottages . Heavenly location!! Peaceful and homely ambience. ... However would like to suggest the management to work on the housekeeping as well as upkeep of the maintenance. The lake facing cottages have this air conditioner which blows air directly on your face while you sleep ..minute details but matters a lot as a good nights sleep is key after all. Another concern we had while we were in the pool villa was pest control ... In the night you can expect slugs and leeches walk up to your bed from the bathroom area which is open to air and has this patch which does not have concrete and these pests thrive in these areas and walk up to scare you in the night...reception staff particularly the male lot can b more courteous and welcoming... Instead of being very mechanized . A few guys - like gautam of the housekeeping dept, jesil in room service intact all the room service staff are real gems!!

Room Tip: Lake facing cottages with breathtaking views....

There is nothing very special or great about this property. That doesn't mean that it's a bad place. It's just a simple, good, clean, value for money resort.

The Room - The cottages were well appointed, clean & good. The cottage we were in, had a separate sit out & a open to sky bath. In general, the resort was clean and service was good. Food was good (nothing bad or nothing great).

Other facilities - A small swimmning pool with no great amenities - wet bar, jaccuzi, etc; but had a kids pool. The common amanities were limited to table tennis, fishing (with a fishing rod made out of a stick & twine) and a small garden / play area for kids.

So, this is a nice play for a couple or friends get together. Definitely not recomended with kids just for the lack of any inhouse entertainment for the kids.Again - a good value for money property.

The best thing about this property is that it's along the bank of the vembanad lake and hence is a beautiful place to be in, for the sunrise & sun set. A good variety of birds keep you entertained along the banks of the lake which borders the resort. House boats can pick / drop you to this place directly.

Room Tip: The cottages alongside the pond is very good - especially during a morning / evening tea & snack...

Outstanding resort. Our own lagoon facing cottage the view is superb. House boats going past right in front of you, able to relax to the maximum. Enjoy a swim, and some traditional music by the pool in the evening after a real food feast.

Apart from the steep steps to our apartment, again a very enjoyable stay, to add to the afternoon excitement we had monkey friends to come and visit right up close. Food was good and rooms excellent. We were able to go out of the resort and have a walk around the town and feel comfortable.

Stayed here in September 2012 for 1 night. Fantastic location right on the back water. Expensive though, room goods, clean, quiet. Food was very good, service a little slow. Complimentary breakfast was average. For a 4 star hotel expected a little different, especially as this was the 3rd Abad resort we had stayed in. Alright for a one night stay.

They have got very good spacious rooms with clean linen and bathrooms.Staff are friendly and the view from the room is good.Private pool rooms are also available. When it comes to food, really below par when compared to the standard of the rooms and Tariff.Breakfast is very simple just for the sake of giving complimentary breakfast.Usually people travel to Kumarakom just to relax and have good food.So you can avoid if you are looking for good food

Room Tip: Go for Lake view rooms with a good view of the lake from the balcony
