I stayed there for 1 night and it was a good experience. this property is so beautiful that you want to click picture of each any every corner. rooms were clean and room service was good. indoor and outdoor games are available, canoeing in the canals is very good experience, swimming pool, big lawn, very good restaurants, sunset cruise, and location is simply superb. Ayurveda center have lots of options to go for massage. only thing which i didn't like was the breakfast. no breakfast buffet and then quality of paratha and omelet was not upto the mark. this can be improved.

Lake song is an excellent hotel with excellent service and perfect location very reasonable price and quite tastefully done with canal in between it gives a felling as if we are Venice a wonderful property and it has a lot of complimentary things like fishing canoeing and sunset cruise and the games room is quite good and reception looks as we are in a rural village very well maintened place an excellent place to spend time and the only problem was that we had power cut sometimes but that only for 2 min but kumarakom being lake resort and a village it's is fine and breakfast had lots of choices overall excellent hotel

Had a great 02 nights of stay at the lake song resort kumarakom a week back. the monsoon showers have added to the charm of the place and I must say that it was a truly great experience.
I was booked to stay in the "Punnamda" room but was lucky to have upgraded to the "Vembanad" room. The room was very spacious and had a sit out over looking the lagoon. The resort offers a different ambience than the most of the other typical kerala traditional resorts. The laterite stone construction gives it a unique charm and an ethnic look altogether. Same time the facilities inside the room are up to the requirements of a luxury traveller.

Check in was swift, the staff were very courteous and helpful always.

the lobby is very spacious and tastefully done. Restaurant is a bit far from the main area and involves a bit of walk. Swimming pool is alongside the restaurant and is fine enough but I ownder if it would be fine for a resort with an inventory of around 60 rooms.

The rooms are very spacious , comes with modern amentities. The old fashioned TV is used instead of LCD which eats up some space and gives a bulky feel. Minibar, tea coffe maker in room.Bathroom has a large shower cubicle and high quality accesories. the toileteries comes with an eco friendly look and less plastic used everywhere in the resort.

The breakfast spread was really nice, enough options in Continental. North Indian and South Indias. Good choice of cereals, fresh tropical fruits, breads and rolls, a real good spread i must say.

The resort offers many options to a lesiure traveller, especially with family. Cycling, canal fishing, sunset cruise and ayurveda spa to name a few. Hotel also has a beer & wine parlour.

also the room keys are used, and i had some issues opening and closing the door locks, as both the keys & door locks were suffering from the extensive twisting and turnings.

Resort is great value for money, has a charm, good food and friendly staff. would love to go back and stay there again.

Room Tip: If you have the budgets go for the " Vembanad Rooms" next lower is" ashtamudi" and the base rooms are called " punnamada". The rooms here doesn't exactly have a view of the lake, but only the internal canals, though the landscape and gardens looks attractive. old age people with walking difficulties should opt for rooms closer to the restaurant as it located at the farther end.

This hotel was beautiful. The greenery blows you away. They have a manmade canal thingie right in the middle of the resort where you can row your small 'sampan' around it. The coconut trees and landscape is so beautiful that you cannot stop clicking your camera. You would just want to take pictures everywhere.
Check in was fast. Staff were polite. Rooms were pretty. Spacious, clean and cosy. They have alot of free activities which you should not miss. As we were there during rainy season, we just relaxed and went for ayurverdic treatment nearby. Gym is bad. And it's open door with no fans. And while you exercise, the staff in the gym sits n watch you which made me very uncomfortable. There is no shelter from your rooms to the lobby and then from the lobby to the restaurant. I had to to wait a long while just to get to the restaurant for breakfast coz the staff in the lobby told me that all the umbrellas were being used by guests. Shouldn't each room have one umbrella each especially when you do not have a shelter to the restaurants?
WIFI was down during our stay. However, before we checked out, it was up and we wanted to use it, we were not told that it will be charged. And when we checked out, we had to pay for the WIFI.
You need to take transport out of the resort to taste the local food. This resort is quite off the main road but it did not matter to us as we had transport. Breakfast was tasty. Work on that free WIFI, the gym and of coz the shelter to the restaurant and this hotel will be close to reaching Excellent rating.
