While staying in Amelia for awhile, we ate here three times. The first time was an impulse; we were hungry, it was raining, and we happened to be walking by. The food was exceptional, and Punto DiVino became a favourite. It has a shop that sells good local wines,  cheeses, preserves and dry sausages, and the proprietor - who is a key organizer of the annual Amelia wine and food festival ("AMELIAdoc") - happens also to be the cook. There are only a few tables. Get the prix fixe menu - either the €12 or €16 are great deals - and don't be shy to ask about wines. You'll get expert advice and the wine will be fine.

“Great set price menu options!”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Very imaginative three course menus, that feature what the Italians call slow food. Rich lentil soup, risotto with asparagus , baked scmorza with proscuttio and a lovely wooden tray of cheese, salame served with the unexpected apricot jam. The food is wonderful and the host serves a good selection of Umbrian wines...in fact if you move through the doorway he has a delightful wine shop that features the best of Umbria in a wide range of prices as well as select chocolates and truffle products. It was a find when we did not want a large amount of food, reasonably priced , with no rush just the time to savor the food . We will go back and dine there again.

“Wonderful family-owned business”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

This shop is wonderful-- it is owned by a wonderful family that makes you feel like family. The food here is simple and delicious, the wine selection is great, and it's always comfortable. When the hot Italian sun is beaming down, Punto also has cool air and warm company.

“What a Great Find!”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

We were looking for a place to eat in Amelia before going to a concert, and stumbled on to this place -- it was one of those great finds that make you feel lucky. The small restaurant has a wine/food store attached, and the family staff is small, but very friendly and warm. We didn't have high expectations, and the food turned out to be fabulous. We had chick pea soup, asparagus risotto -- incredibly good, perfect; better than any risotto I've ever made -- roast leg of lamb, and a carrot/squash flan that was delicious. It made our day to have wandered into this little restaurant.
