“Best holiday ever!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

My husband and I came here very last minute (2days after we had booked) on our honeymoon and have had the best relaxing holiday.
This hotel was the cleanest hotel I have been to. There is staff everyday tending the grassy areas, sweeping the floors and mowing the lawns. The housekeepers do a great job.

The pools are beautiful. One relaxation one for adults only, a smaller one in the Turkish bath area one large on and a child’s one. The staffs were all very friendly. They all tried their best to help and communicate as well as they can. The food was very good a very fresh salad selection everyday enough food for vegetarians and a great selection for them. Very child friendly too.
I can’t wait to come back here with my children. The animation team were the best in any hotel/holiday site I have ever been to. There are always activities, including morning gym beach volleyball, archery football darts. There is a fitness room for those who still want to do a bit of training.
At night there is always a show, we got to witness live music, karaoke, a Miss Champion competition and Latin dancing, It was a great laugh and the animation crew always tried to keep everyone involved and joining in.

We treated ourselves to a Turkish bath there and never felt better. There were a few excursions you could do with Thomas cook but after going into the town we found it was about half the price to arrange it yourselves.

Room Tip: rooms seemed to all be very good. very spacious.

My boyfriend and I just got back today from a week long all inclusive holiday at Champion Holiday Village. We needed a bit of time together and a bit of a break from everyday life and work. This has to be the most relaxing holiday we have ever been on. The hotel is amazing and the food is amazing. It is definitely well worth a visit. We didn't know what to expect and we were afraid that it wasn't going to be as nice as in the pictures, but in this case the pictures don't do it justice! We will definitely be going back.

Some details:

The rooms are a good size, very clean, air con works great, balcony is great. There is both a small and a large pool, with loads of sun loungers. The large pool has a water slide, I'd recommend having a go even if you're an adult, it's great fun. The private beach is gorgeous, with the hotel and beautiful mountains as a backdrop.

The main restaurant is great, they always have something for everyone. A lot of the food is the same from day to day, but they try to be creative with the meats as much as possible. The buffet is so large and there is so much to choose from, that you can hardly get bored with the food! We didn't actually get around to trying the two a la carte restaurants, as we enjoyed the food at the main restaurant so much. If you get hungry in between meals, they serve snacks during the day and at midnight. The pancakes (gozleme) made right by the snack bar are delicious!! Never tasted better, they're absolutely amazing. The bars are great, although the all inclusive only covers local alcohol. That was fine for us, we just had cocktails, beer and soft drinks throughout the week and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Animations Team are incredibly friendly, they try to do what they can for entertainment for everyone. There was football, darts, archery, volleyball, etc during the day and they had a show or some form of entertainment in the amphitheatre every night at 9pm. Everyone in the Animations Team was great, but particularly Hassan was absolutely wonderful and is genuinely a happy, friendly, helpful person. He was in the process of learning English, but we had great fun with him and there wasn't any language barrier at all. After a week, he was more like a friend than a hotel employee to us. If you visit Champion Holiday Village, ask for him in the Animations Team.

The Wifi is only available in certain areas of the hotel, but we managed to pick up a faint wifi signal when we put our laptop on the edge of our balcony. It's not great speed, but it's fine for checking emails and such. We thought we would feel internet deprived by the end of the week but we didn't really notice it and ended up not using the internet that much anyway. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we spent most of our time outdoors, the time just flew by!

Everyone is very very helpful, there aren't as many feral cats as some of the other reviews online say there are. We saw three cats at most, and they're so used to wandering around and not malicious at all, you will hardly notice them. There are a lot of the staff at the hotel that don't speak fluent English, but they are friendly and they try very hard. We always managed to find someone who could communicate with us, so we didn't have any problems. I know that more of their employees are in the process of learning english.

We tried the Sea to Sky trip as well on one of the days, we booked it through the Thomas Cook rep. It is definitely worth the money, going up in the mountains in the cable car was an incredible experience and the ruins of Phaselis are worth a visit too. Phaselis has the most beautiful beach we have ever seen!

This hotel is very child friendly, but it is such a beautiful hotel with natural surroundings, it is amazing for a relaxing trip as a couple as well. The hotel itself is built in various small buildings with loads of trees and grassy areas in between, it fits so well with the surroundings. The hotel is very spacious, you can always find a quiet spot somewhere by the beach or by one of the bars. We had the most relaxing week ever, it was just what we needed! We will definitely be going back to this place, it was absolutely perfect.

I stayed here for a week all inclusive with my teenage daughter during April 2013, I booked it online picking up a last minute bargain through Thomas Cook, not knowing what to expect as it was our first time to Turkey, usually choosing Spain or the Canaries, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to others and would book to stay here again.

We found the staff to be extremely welcoming, a family run hotel with the focus on good service and friendliness, the guests were a mix of nationalities - French, German, Russian, Brits, all were pretty friendly, most of the staff speak good English.

Couldn't fault the service and quality of the drinks, 'Efes' beer on tap was a nice drop, the food in the restaurant was pretty good, if a little 'samey' after a week, but there was always something good to eat, even for the pickiest of eaters, and if you didn't like what was in the buffet there were 2 other restaurants you could book, and the snack bar through the day doing pizza and burgers, frequent cakes were presented along with midnight snacks when the all inclusive drinks end.

The home made pancakes by the snack bar were to die for, never had better!

Very clean establishment, good size room with balcony, powerful shower, air con worked fine, TV just had world news, loads of choice on where to relax, whether it was by the big or the quiet pool, on or near to the beach, in or outside of the main bar, you could always find a pleasant spot to relax, the hotel complex covers a wide area.

Animation team were very hard working, although it was early in the season we did get a couple of professional shows along with the usual mini disco and audience participation stuff, they told me the team increases to 15 soon as the season picks up.

Wifi cost 50 lira for the week (about £17-18) not a great coverage or speeds, but ok to retrieve emails, social media etc.

Safe was 12Lira (£5Ish) but probably not needed, we felt safe and relaxed, rep said thefts were unheard of here.

It's hard to pick many faults with this place, and as a seasoned 'All inclusive' holidayer, I've not had as an enjoyable, relaxing stay that represented better value for money than here in Champion Holiday Village.

After spending painful 20 hours at Sentido Bildibi ( aka Thomas Cook Village ), I paid £200.00 to my tour operator staff, before I was allowed to move to Champion Holiday village.. The manageress Nusrat is an amazing person, very welcoming and kind. The hotel covers a large area by the sea front. The backdrop are the mountains. The accommodation is in two story chalets spread out in the gardens. Very comfortable rooms with modern furnishings.Free sauna and gym and a few shops.Food was good and restaurant staff very polite. My only bone of contention was lack of meat dishes and catering can be easily improved. The menu should be altered to make it more international rather than Turkish.

Something strange. Turkish millionaires have a tendency to boast even they are not facing you. The Hotel is owned by a Turkish Olympic weight lifting champion. Instead of a modest plaque outside the hotel , he has installed a statue of himself displaying different bits with a list of the medals he won. I can only conclude that being pompous and showing it off has been inherited from their distant rulers the Greeks.
Must visit Kemer , Olymposteleferrik ( sky lift to mount Olympos) and Phaselis. take the bus to kemer and behind the bus station in kemer, you can buy a ticket to sky lift at half the price of your tour operator.
Another day, take a bus from kemer bus station to Phaselis, the place where Alexander the Great landed in Turkey. It is a 20 minutes bus ride to the site. The location where he landed is in a sheltered bay in a forest. Look at the ruins and feel atmosphere of the time. The forest has is full of pine and pomegranate trees. My wife loved picking up fresh pomegranates from trees.
kemer is a beautiful town . Must visit the sea front. we loved walking around the town.
All together, very pleasant experiences at the hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get first floor or second floor room. No problem walking. Excellent lifts.

We visited Champion at the end of October, it was a last minute booking so was a little dubious as always but we were proved wrong. The food is excellent, the childrens entertainment is first class and the resort itself is spotless. This was our First visit to turkey so have nothing to compare it too but would absolutely recommend this resort especially to families with young children and will be booking to go back in the future.

My wife and 2 sons enjoyed 10 days there at the end of August. Accommodation in apartment block was lovely with excellent air conditioning. Food options very good generally with the a la carte option lovely. Beach was fine although stones take a bit of navigating but certainly not a deal breaker. Myself and my 14 year old enjoyed chasing the fish after hopping of either of the 2 small jetties. The staff were generally very friendly and we did not have any issues getting served in the bar (although having a Turkish wife certainly couldn't have done any harm). Entertainment also very good. Comments re sufficient beds around the pool may be true but we stuck mainly to the beach so can't really comment on this. Yes towels at dawn is a factor but that is not at all unique. A bit of cue jumping here and there but again, different cultures and all that.. very much enjoyed the onsite spa with my 2 boys being very exited about being covered in bubbles during their Turkish bath experience. All in all a lovely hotel set in lovely tree filled settings, I would certainly recommend it.
