“Lovely hotel ,well worth the money”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

My Fiancee and I have just returned from the Sultan buldibi , we stayed for a week during 17th Sept - 24th Sept 2012
This is our 4th visit to Turkey staying at various 4* & 5* hotels.

Lovely hotel well worth the money:
Pools are large ,clean with plenty of space and plenty of free sunbeds due to some guests using the hotels beach area.

Gardens and surroundings are beautiful and well maintained.

Food is very nice , freshly made with a good selection of tasty food for all, food is restocked quickly when low and ques for food were very short so no long waits.

Rooms are clean and spacious enough.

Staff are friendly and allways helpful.

On our last night at the hotel I proposed to my girlfriend and the Manager and staff arranged a flower display in the room and also a dressed table in the middle of the hotels gardens, our table had lots of lovely flowers and heartshaped petal displays and a bottle of champagne, we had our own waiter and were made to feel very special, My Fiancee and I was delighted with all the effort :] Many thanks

I would recommend this hotel and would we go back yes.

Tip : Change currency at resort its a better rate, Use Lira as you get more for your money. Most items are priced in Euro and Dollars because of the high number of Russians , but when buying just ask for price in Lira. I purchased a nice Lacoste t-shirt at the shop apposite the hotel for 10 Lira thats about £ 3.45.

First time in this hotel, was pleasantly surprised as reviews I had read were very mixed. I agree rooms could do with a freshen up but nothing to put you off, heavy handed with the grouting in bathrooms but you do not go on hols to spend time in your room.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was very good plenty of choice you would need to be extremely fussy not to find something you liked. Weather was very hot but plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, 3 lovely pools and childrens pool. Gardens were always being tended to so they looked a picture.
A mix of nationalities mainly french but its nice to travel abroad and meet people from all over.
Myself and my husband would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, only downside not much to visit in the near area if you want a bit of culture, without having a long coach ride to get there.
Hotel is situated right on beach with plenty of sunbeds so if this is your thing you will be well away.
Rooms were cleaned well with nice white towels and bedlinen, pool towels can be obtained with a small payment which is returned when you leave.
Outside areas were large did not feel cramped at all.
Market was only a short walk away with good fruit and nuts and plenty of t-shirts and leather goods to haggle over.
Balconies are quite small.

Room Tip: Rooms on lower level can be dark due to foliage of plants.

This was my wife and I's fifth all inc holiday in Turkey but our first to this region. The hotel was generally good but we were disappointed to have a ground floor room which faced onto the path to reception. Our room was adequate although small and in need of redecorating, the bathroom was tiny.
I would say without hesitation that the food here was the best we've had both in taste and variety and our waiter was excellent. The bar staff were also very good and are always going to serve single females before middle aged men!
The pool areas were kept clean at all times,2 or 3 lifeguards were always present and the water was refreshing to say the least. The beach is rocky and very slippy underwater{bare feet not good}.
Although an A/I resort we like to have some meals out and this proved difficult as there were only 2 eateries in walking distance in one of which they spoke no english at all.The shop prices were all displayed in dollars/euros and the proprietors seemed astonished when asked the price in lira even though that is the national currency.
I would avoid any Thomas Cook days out as they are very expensive, for example a yacht tour was 70GBP and we got similar for only 30 including lunch plus 10 for drinks and we saw 2 wild turtles close up from a dinghy.
Overall a good hotel with friendly staff very popular with russian and french tourists.

Room Tip: Family rooms on top floor (3rd) were much bigger

We first went to this hotel two years ago and i was quite concerned that it would not live up to our previous experience...i was wrong to worry this was a holiday heaven sent! The beautiful surroundings the excellent food and amazing staff made our holiday complete .We travelled as a family with children of 12 and 14 they were happy with the pool sea and activities and we just loved lying by the pool in the beautiful sun.Ok the rooms do need updating but they are immaculately clean and kept cool by the air conditioning. There were a few changes but all positive fruit and drink being bought to us by the pool added to the experience. Thank you an amazing holiday

Room Tip: family rooms 301 and 302 have sea views

first i will start with the positives, nice swimming pools, the food at breakfast.dinner and lunch are edible if some what very repetitive.the waiters and barstaff are very friendly and helpful. the weather was fantastic,
there is no shortage of sunbeds.the thomas ccok rep was very helpful and friendly, the wine is average and there is no shortage of it.
Bad points to many russian and german guest bullying thier way infront of cues at the bar and dictating the best sunbeds and insisting in sitting in parties of 10 to 15 at the dinner table.thats not me being a brit on tour but like many of you i was brought up with manners and politeness what our european neighbours do not possess. the rooms are very small and as a couple we were given single beds. All ice creams have to be paid for working out about £2.00 for a magnum.whatever you do please dont take turkish lira take euros or dollar as the market traders and shop keepers look at you baffled when you offer them thier own currency even the hotel reception deal in euros.do not get conned into having the barbecue tis works out about a tenner each and is no better then the standard evening meal. the entertainment team are absolutely rubbish if you can call an evenings entertainment watching some girl miming to adele like a 12yr old in a bedroom mirror then your sadder than them. the kareoke nights are worse than being at a boring mans funeral reception id rather stick pins in my eyes than go through that again all together a pretty crap holiday good weather good wine good service, awful entertainment and not brit orientated at all

Room Tip: dont bother the family rooms are better

We stayed in this hotel from 1st of September till 8th of September.
It was a very nice, amusing and beautiful hotel. You directly feel on holiday!
The staff was really friendly, very helpfull.
The swiming pool was big and a real pleasure in those hot temperatures. It was a pity that after 6PM you couldn't swim anymore. But at this time you could still go to the beach.
The beach was on 2min walk, so really great!
The food was very elaborated, there were a lot of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
At 4Pm there were some snacks and in the afternoon you could also have a pizza or hamburger or something.
The hotel was very clean which I can appreciate a lot!
I would really recommend this hotel.

23rd August - 6th September 2012
This hotel is a must for all. The staff are all really friendly from the greeting at the reception to the gardeners, everyone seems to bend over backwards to help. The grounds are kept spotlessly clean, and all communal areas are very well kept.
The fact that during the serving hours of the all inclusive there was only one bar in full time operation was a bit worrying, but the staff kept up admirably well and always had a smile and time for a joke and we never found ourselves waiting more than a minute or two to be served. The alcoholic drinks are all local, but the soft drinks are all known international brands (coke, fanta, schwepps etc.)
The food was of a good standard and freshly made, there was plenty of choice for all tastes, but please bare in mind that you will not get many places offering pork products in Turkey so if you are the kind of person that can't live without bacon for breakfast then a middle eastern country is probably not for you.
The afternoon snack bar was very good serving a nice selection of wraps, burgers, pizzas and salads, and of course drinks. and the staff who look after this section are great, always smiling and happy to chat and have a laugh.
The only slight problem we found with the hotel was the decor of the rooms, they could really do with updating, and new fixtures and fittings, but for us who tend to spend most of the day outside this was not really a problem, but they would be slightly depressing if you like to spend a lot of time in the room.
The animation team all speak good English although I think they are mainly geared up for the French guests, however if, like us you like to join in with the games that they arrange they are only to happy to include people of all nationalities and explain everything in 3 or 4 languages if needed.
Just a quick note on the resort itself. The shops are mainly aiming at Russian tourists and most prices are given in U.S dollars or secondly Euros if like us you go to Turkey with Turkish Lira you are looked at as if you have made an awful mistake, having said that they will give you a price in Lira but they will not barter as much as they do in other parts of the country but you can still get a good bargain if you are prepared to walk away if you don't get the price you want.
As a footnote I would just like to add that I would definitely go back to this hotel I would describe it as being almost a 5* hotel with 3* rooms.
