The room was great, awesome view. The only issue was the shower that had no pressure so you battled to get wet.We were lock out the hotel on the Friday night as we went for a braai with friends and on our return all door to the hotel were lock. We managed to get into our room through the sliding door which we had left unlocked. New restaurant was fantastic. Food was great except for the oysters having been frozen when there are fresh available!

We arrived on Friday afternoon and had no idea what to expect. The Breede River Resort and Fishing Lodge lived up to the expectations. Stunning scenery and the perfect place to just kick back and relax. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be coming back here again. This place is one of the few unspoilt gems left...

Not too far to drive and a very nice setting friendly staff very accommodating the odd staff had an attitude but suppose that is human. What I must say when ordering meals my goodness they take very long . One hour average serious problem in the kitchen with time but food Tops.

A group of us recently spent a long weekend at this lovely resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our well-equipped cabin overlooked the hotel's private harbour supplying us with tranquil views of the Breede River and Indian Ocean. Scrumptious breakfasts were served in the newly refurbished restaurant also overlooking the river. During the day we could simply enjoy the views of unspoilt natural beauty. There were also scenic boat trips or canoeing for the adventurer. In the evenings we enjoyed our generous portioned dinners by warm gas radiant heaters in the comfortable lounge area. At night it was easy to fall asleep with the rhythmic sound of water lapping against the harbour walls. My only suggestion would be that their menu should cater for a bit larger variety of tastes.

Room Tip: Rooms a bit further away from the bar and lounge area might offer a quieter environment.

Staff were not very friendly. Luckily we did not have to eat there, but noted that on Mother's Day for breakfast, clients had to eat in the bar area and the tables had not even been laid by the time some clients walked in for breakfast. Glad it was not me as I would have lost my cool. We had self-catering so could cook our own breakfast.

This is a fantastic unit with excellent layout and views, however the unit itself desperately needs maintenance. Kitchen cupboads and utensils cleanliness was unacceptable. Personnel were all fantastic

My wife and I spent one night here. It was clean and staff were friendly. It was too short and to much to do. The "on the river" experience is amazing. The peaceful and beauty of nature at it's best. Great for photographers and birders to spend time at this resort. We will have to make a second trip here!
