“There is a secret hidden in the French alps”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Amazing food. Affordable 5 star style dining just outside Annecy. If you take an easy 5 minute drive out of Annecy to Sevrier you will find the Auberge de Letraz next to the lake.

The food is incredible in the Restaurant Bernard et Brice Collon but the secret is that they have opened a contemporary Bistro in the auberge. The 921 Bistrot is incredible. They serve an 18 Euro menu in the bistro which gives you the same tastes as their main restaurant but at an accessible price.

The love, care and pride they take over their food is deliciously clear in every bite.

With exquisite food the 921 Bistro is worth a trip from Annecy. Perhaps you don't need to drive - grab a bike and cycle along the lakeside cycle path and experience Michelin style dining without the Michelin price tag.

“Top Gourmet Experience”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

This restaurant is an awesome fine dining experience. Each dish is beautifully prepared and you are not disappointed when you taste the wonderful meal flavours, great wines and especially the cheese cart, absolutely worth having a meal there for any occassion. Staff are attentive and friendly and service is silver spoon level. A must dining place if you are in the area.

So much care, attention and time has gone into the preparation of the food. The menu at 40 euros was a good price. See my review of the hotel for more info. The restaurant has beautiful views over he lake

“Top Dining Experience”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

We had set out for a small restaurant in Annecy recommended by owner of apartment, and had checked on-line for their hours. Unfortunately, despite still having an active web-site, the restaurant no longer existed and in its place was an Indian restaurant that didn't look too auspicious. We drove outside of Annecy and ended up in the small town of Sevrier. After stopping at one place that wasn't suitable (lots of smoking), we saw many cars in the parking lot of the Auberge de Letraz. Went in and were promptly seated in the beautiful dining room overlooking the lake. We had no idea what we had stumbled upon. It was as good as many Michelin-starred restaurants we have visited.
Once we were seated we had “aperitifs” and placed our orders. We were then presented with an amuse bouche – cones filled with the lightest goat cheese and pastries filled with a tapenade containing anchovies. This was followed with another complimentary appetizer – a creamy mussel broth in a small cup.
We all ordered different dishes (several pictured below). Everything was beautifully presented with impeccable service. It was rather expensive - think about $80 per person, but it was a beautiful, top-notch experience - especially since we had come upon it by accident. We seldom indulge in such "over-the-top" meals, but this was a very special meal for a special birthday celebration. In the summer or fall, sitting outside with a view of the lake, this would have deserved 6-stars!

“We didn't expect that! Wow!”
Reviewed January 20, 2012

We are staying the hotel Letraz in winter and the place is quiet. We booked in for dinner thinking we get the casual chef....well we were wrong! The restaurant filled up and the food was excellent. Creative, stylishly plated and tasty. The wine list was large. Prices a little up there but still worth it!
