“Amazing stay at in amazing part of the world”

This is a truly beautiful hotel, deep in the heart of the Tuscan hills. It would only be suitable if you had a rental car, as it is off the main drag. It is a bit of peace and quiet after a whirlwind tour of Italy.

The staff at La Loggia are extremely helpful; they recommended a terrific restaurant to us - Osteria di Fonterutoli. Unbelievable value for money (we had wine, antipasto, prima and chocholate souffle for dessert, all for only 50 euro). The server is insanely friendly as well (running around, saying "prego"!).

The continental breakfast is served in their beautiful patio over looking the magnificant hills.

You also have to watch out for their senior kitty, Romeo, who has seen better days but is still as sweet as pie!

We are already planing to return for another visit.

This was the highlight of our 2 weeks around Italy!

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and courteous, the rooms were great, and the breakfast excellent. The view if vineyards and olive groves was breathtaking. It was like a little piece of heaven.I want to go back some day.
I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel;one thing, you will need a car, as it is on the outskirts of town(which is probably one of the reasons why it is so well priced.

This is a beautiful hotel in Tuscany. ( I am thinking..is there one that isn't?) Hubby and I had the pleasure of staying here during our Dolce Vita tour and loved it. The hotel was very clean and because it was in the country it was so peaceful. Lovely clean rooms with nice bathrroms. Amazing view of vineyards and olive groves from our window. Our TV wouldn't work and neither did our telephone for wake up calls but that didn't bother us at all. The pool was clean and refreshing. Dinners with our group in the dining room was good except sometimes it took a long time between courses. Starting dinner at 8:00 o'clock is a little late for us and eating a big dish of pasta at 9 oclock and finishing dessert at 10:30 is not what we would usually do but we enjoyed the company, the wine and the service. Lovely little patio on which to have our breakfast that was included. I would certainly recommend this hotel as it was a pleasure to experience Tuscany in all it's beauty.

My husband and I were on a tour from Canada.
Stayed four nights here and loved it,
We had the top floor room ( 60steps to climb) but worth the view we had.
Three balconys from our room and the view was awesome.!!!
Food was pretty good.
Alessandro the owner was very helpful and I loved the fact of the free internet.
We had to ask for salad as it was not served with our meals.
Next night we had salad.I realized later that lettuce was very expensive in Tuscany.
2 Euros for one head of lettuce.
Loved this place and would return,Frances De Rose Toronto

The movie "Under The Tuscan Sun" was the inspiration for the bus tour we took to Italy this fall. Rome, Florence and Venice were great, but when we got to La Loggia in Tuscany - it was wonderful! The shutters on our hotel room window opened on the Tuscan hills. Everytime we looked out, the view was breathtaking. Rolling hills, green trees, olive groves and vineyards. What more could you want? - except a quiet room, clean bathroom, antique furniture, fantastic staff and great meals! This is the place to stay in Italy, under the Tuscan sun.

This hotel is a little way out of Siena and, although there are public buses that pass by, a car would be more convenient. However, in saying that, we found driving to be a very traumatic experience, especially when we arrived in Siena and, with all the one way streets, couldn't find the road to get to the hotel. We did eventually get there, much later than we had hoped, to find the hotel in such a lovely setting, with spectacular views over the countryside from the terrace at the front of the hotel, and from our room. There could be some repairs and maintenance made around the outside of the hotel, but the inside is lovely. Not luxurious by any means, but comfortable and pleasant. Our room was huge, with large double glazed windows, and an ensuite. We believe we may have been the only guests in the hotel at the time, as it was low season, and maybe it has to do with not being in Siena, but the breakfast selection was as if they had a full house. We didn't check out the pool, so can't comment on that. Certainly would recommend this hotel, but be prepared to add extra time for catching a bus to and from Siena, or be brave and take the car!!!! Be aware, too, that meals other than breakfast are not served.
