Dinner for ten is not usually an intimate experience. And four of us are ten years old and less. The Borgo il Poggiaccio is an upscale hotel in a valley. Down the hill from our upscale villa. Dinner is at 8:30…my normal bedtime! On the other hand, the kids can’t wait to capture the flying bugs and incinerate them in the candles on the table…keeps me awake. The terrace is full. The menu is in Italian, English, French and German. Not a good sign. I go for rabbit which turns off the kids. Braised in a light sauce, and served with roast potatoes, it’s pretty good, if a little bony. I also share potato ravioli and a very large T-bone steak with some of the rest of the adults. The wine is expensive. We all have a very nice time.
