Description: Tucked away in a woodland setting in the tiny village of Wadborough, The Mason's Arms is worth seeking out. As a busy village local it's a great place for a pint or decent glass of wine - and our new chef has come up with a fantastic menu to showcase local producers. The Mason's is fortunate to be situated in the heart of one of England's main market gardening areas so sourcing the freshest of produce right on the doorstep is an obvious winner. At a time when many pubs and village amenities are closing we are passionate about making the Mason's the hub of the village and a real talking point for its warm welcome and brilliant food. Please check our website for full menu details.

We live in the USA, but all family still in Worcester. Our friends brought us here for dinner while we were visiting home. The smoked salmon starter was exceptional, the fish & chips to die for, Scott makes the best batter ever and the chips were homemade, none of that frozen stuff. All agreed that the Steaks were great. Came back 3 days later for Sunday meal, Chris kept the kitchen open as we arrived later in the afternoon. The traditional Roast Beef was lovely and the portions overly generous. The cauliflower cheese was the best I've ever had. Plenty of vegetable varieties too. My Dad ordered the Fish Pie off the A La Carte board, he said it was the best he's ever had. The desserts were lovely too, especially the Mason's Mess!

Next time we are in Worcs. we will definitely come here again....I want to try the Lamb Shank!

We had to go past a temporary road closed sign, but it was worth it. We were met at the door by the land lady and her husband looked after us well inside . It was quiet but the food was very good . It was a bit awkward for my elderly Mother to stand and see the menu board but that was a minor detail

Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon after visiting Croome Park. From the outside, it's not necessarily somewhere we'd have stopped off at, but we went on the basis of TA reviews. The pub has an old fashioned feel to it, and at first we weren't too sure about whether we'd made a mistake. We decided to stay and order food, and were glad that we did.
The welcome was friendly and there is a choice of whether to sit in the bar or the restaurant areas. The menu is all on chalk boards with a bar menu and separate restaurant menu choice. It was pretty quiet when we went, with only one person serving, and the service was a little too slow for our liking. All the food is cooked fresh and is apparently home made which we appreciated, so we did not mind the wait once we'd ordered our food, it was just the ordering of the food that took a while.
The food was well cooked and enjoyable, but we would describe it as more pub grub than a gastro pub kind of experience. If you're looking for traditional and relatively simple food, then this would be a good place to come. I had the burger, and it was very tasty and well cooked, very good value at under £7. The chips were obviously home made, they were lovely and fluffy with a really nice taste. Doom Bar is one of our favourite beers, and they served a very good pint. We'd certainly consider visiting again when next at Croome.
