Description: Welcome to the Queen Elizabeth, a Traditional Village Inn and Restaurant in the heart of the beautiful Worcestershire village of Elmley Castle. Our aim is to be a welcoming, comfortable hostelry in the great tradition of this 16th century building. Whether you are looking for a quick drink with friends, a warming cup of coffee and pastries, a good value bar snack or a more formal meal to celebrate a special event, the Queen Elizabeth is the right place to come! A group of local residents have recently taken on the pub to create a valuable facility for the community and visitors from farther afield. All will receive a warm welcome from Phil, our head chef and his team who add that very personal friendly touch that makes all the difference. We also offer a special welcome to the many walkers and cyclists who all come to Elmley Castle to enjoy the wonderful scenery that Bredon Hill and its surrounding villages offer. The Queen Elizabeth Inn commemorates the visit of Queen Elizabeth I to Elmley Castle in 1575. It was unusual for the monarch to visit and stay in a rural village so there was much excitement and celebration when she arrived from Worcester on the 20th August. The Queen and her entourage stayed for two nights as guests of William Savage. It is not clear exactly who stayed where but we like the story that the Queen stayed at the Inn! The interior has been recently renovated and the Queen Elizabeth now offers three distinct areas, each with its own unique character, offering quality food and drink. The traditional village bar is a great place to meet and enjoy a good selection of real ales and carefully selected wines.

What a treat! -staying in the village we needed a good meal and we were not disappointed. Plenty of beautifully presented and well cooked home cooking just what was needed after a day's sightseeing. Our waitress/barmaid was very friendly and soon got to know us and our requirements as we went back again and again. I would recommend this pub to all.

I had to review the The Queen Elizabeth Inn again so soon after my last visit - we went with the family
and Oscar our dog for one of the best 'pub' Sunday lunches we have ever had .The carvery offers
very high quality meat with lots of fresh vegetables - portion sizes are very generous and the price
is a steal .The staff are so good and friendly - there is nothing pretentious about the Queen Elizabeth and this it makes it very special compared with the normal gastro pub .

My wife made an excellent choice when she took me and my Border Collie here. Staff very very friendly, Sally very welcome, lovely log fire on abitterly cold day, fine selection of beers and an excellent reasonably priced meal.

Lots of food and brilliant value for money.

Looking forward to eating and drinking there again.

Called in here after a walk and wanted a quick bite to eat. They weren't doing food that day (but from March they will be doing it every day) but the landlady said she could do sandwiches. We ordered these with a bowl of chips and they were lovely. They chips were the best ever. Piping hot with a fluffy middle and crispy on the outside - perfect. The pub itself is small inside but has a garden so perfect in the summer.
