My visit to Cape Town is a memorable journey that I will always cherish. Have you ever felt about some place that finds a special place in your heart? Well, Cape Town is that for me. I was completely mesmerised with this lively and happening city. And the only thing that heightened my experience is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.

Located in the beautiful city of Cape Town this place has some of the best features and amenities that will make you feel just super special. This premium hotel overlooks the cape Town harbour and is set at the awesome backdrop of the slope of the Devil’s peak. Just as I set foot on this hotel ground I was welcomed in the most gracious way ever. Needless to say, the choco chip cookies were delicious.

A gem with great views, good buffet breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and well decorated. Has a free shuttle to the waterfront at regular intervals during the day but would need a short taxi/Uber drive to attractions no more than £7-8.

Double tree is an excellent hotel to stay, we had 2 nights & the room , service , food & staff were high class . The friendly staff could not do enough for you & a free shuttle bus was provided to V & A .
The reception staff catered to our needs & even organised a trip to Boulders beach !!
Highly recommend!!

My title says it all, I have 15 yrs as a diamond member I have stayed in all most all levels of Hilton properties from Waldorf to Hampton Inns I have never stayed in a property with such a poor service. I booked this property almost 1 year before my arrival I confirmed my room and reservation at least 3 time prior to my arrival. My reservation was for a king room with extra bed. Less than 7 days before I am to leave the country for Africa I get informed that there will now be an additional charged for the 3rd bed ( if they dispute this I would be happy to post the email and the persons name who sent it) On arrival no cookies, my email clearly said we would get the free breakfasts but have to pay for the 3rd but on arrival I am informed that we no longer get breakfast with our room and will have to pay for all breakfast. I addition 2 of the 4 nights we were they we had to call housekeeping to bring us fresh towels after we realized they had picked up dirty ones of the floor and hung them up for us to reuse. This location is in a seedy and unsafe part of town the hotel employees advised us against walking around after dark to a restaurant, the cab driver said the area was unsafe, and the Uber driver said it was to far from anything we may want to see and way to far and unsafe to walk to the water from. The one redeeming factor was the food in the restaurant was fairly good the 1 time we ate there. Their motto of "if your not satisfied with your stay well make it right" Is a bunch of BS for this hotel they don't care they know you are from out of town

Room tip: stay some where elsae

Dear Sir

Thank you for sharing your views of our property through TripAdvsior. We value all feedback received allowing us to identify the areas that require our attention. Please accept our sincere apology for you not receiving your complimentary breakfasts.

Prior to your arrival we noted that Hilton Honors had reduced your status from Diamond to Silver and although this meant forfeiting the Diamond member privileges, we wanted to ensure that you still received your complimentary breakfast. Regrettably, through a breakdown in communication the message did not reach you which had a negative impact on your experience.

I have brought the incident regarding your fresh towels to our housekeeping team and we regret the inconvenience that caused your and your family. We provided a complementary shuttle to and from the V & A Waterfront 4 times per day. Our Hotel is located in an up and coming area Woodstock and is most certainly not an unsafe area again we apologise if you and your family felt unsafe. We do hope that we will get an opportunity in the future to welcome your and your family back to our hotel and will ensure an supply of our cookies.

Stayed at the Double Tree with my Family over Easter weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. Really nice hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast especially the very friendly chef at the eggs station made our experience one to remember. The rooms are comfortable and the all you you can eat chocolate chip cookies were a hit with my children. I highly recommend this Hotel.
