“WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

Bones Kitchen and Bar
Ranked #2 of 56 Restaurants in Woodstock
Description: We’re Bones, so yes, we prepare just about anything with bones in it – and a lot without, too. Steaks and ribs? Check. Fish and fowl? That too. Pastas and parmas and porcinis? Definitely. Artisinal breads and great coffee? They’re fresh to grab-and-go every morning. Here, everything we serve is carefully crafted, no matter how small or simple. We’re a little picky – okay, we’re a lot picky – about quality, and that will never change. No corner-cutting is allowed in our kitchen, especially when it comes to ingredients. It’s the finest of the herd, and the best of the bunch, or nothing.

Bones Kitchen and Bar serves delectable tapas and delicious beer! The atmosphere was wonderfully pleasant. I recommend the beef carpaccio and gnocchi. A definite five stars!

Sat in London planning another trip to Cape Town, we stumbled across an instagram picture of Parmesan bon bons from this restaurant. Emailed and mentioned that we were going to Devil’s Peak Tap prior to dinner and wanted to book table after that. Neil came back with advice on travelling locally and information on the area and the restaurant. Service that good is invaluable and so hard to find! So pressure on them last night to deliver! Boy did they! Service was impeccable and friendly so you felt like friends returning. The food was a triumph! Said Parmesan bon bons were every bit as delicious as that had looked in a photo! Calamari as the other starter was tender and with a divine sauce. The main of wild mushroom risotto was packed with different types of mushrooms and the deepest of flavours. Linefish as the other main was moist and full of flavour with some amazing potatoes! Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and wish them every success as they will no doubt become. Make the trip out to see them, you will not regret it!! We will be back and once again thank you!

Had lunch at Bones during December 2018.
What a nice afternoon.
Excellent food quality and great wine choices.

Personal service received from the owner with meal recommendations as well as drinks pairing.

They had no problem to cater for a vegan in our party and that meal was also excellent.

Value for money without a doubt...

I can recommend the pork belly. In our party, the chicken breast and the gnocchi were winners.

Will definitely be back.

This is a surprisingly unknown gem in the city. A seasoned pro in the restaurant game has created a masterful dining venue in Woodstock. Great beers on tap and the most flavorful and succulent Pot dishes to share. I won’t be surprised when getting a reservation will be hard to come by.
