We just stayed at Ti Kaye and it was one of the best vacations we've ever had. From the moment you arrive at this secluded paradise you're greeted by a marvelous staff who will make you never want to leave. Most people are directed to stay in the 'North End' of St. Lucia, where all of the "major" hotels are, but you would be missing out on the incredible romantic oasis that is Ti Kaye. If you want fast action and nightclubs, Ti Kaye isn't for you, but if you're looking for relaxation, great food steps away from your room, a romantic getaway and paradise views than you're in luck. The spa was also to die for. Usually photos on a hotels website don't accurately portray exactly what the space is, but Ti Kaye is actually even more gorgeous than we could have imagined. It takes FOREVER to get around anywhere in St. Lucia and at Ti Kaye you don't need to leave - they have everything there without the hassle and annoyance of hundreds of guests like you would have at Sandals. We would travel back in a heartbeat, our only regret is that we didn't spend our whole vacation here, as we stayed at a different resort for the first part of our trip.

My husband and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time at Ti Kaye. The staff is very friendly and bends over backwards to make your trip enjoyable. The chef did a great job of changing up the menu everyday. Great food. Clewis (sorry if I spelled your name wrong??), the wine expert, gave an informative and fun wine tasting. That was one of the highlights of the stay. Ti Kaye has the some of the best snorkeling right off shore on the whole island. The island of St. Lucia is very mountainous, lush and beautiful. Although the resort is somewhat isolated, you can catch a cab anywhere and the water taxis are a faster and fun way to get from place to place. The steps to the beach are no big deal. It helps to burn all the calories you consume! The only negative comment I have would be that their gym needs some updating. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

We absolutely LOVED being at TKV. The staff, from top to bottom, inside and out, was OVER THE TOP OUTSTANDING. Never in my travels have I experienced a place such as TKV. From the moment we arrived. and even before, we were treated like not only guests, but also we were treated like princesses. The service was impecable from breakfast - Rum Punches!!! The management staff was OUTSTANDING, including Katie and Anand. The office folks were great and please thank MARY POPO for keeping our "home away from Home" so clean, flowery amd full of love.....hats off to everyone and I GUARANTEE my partner and I will be back again and again and again. Make sure you take the time to meet locals and hang out with them. These people and Ti Kaye Village were the PERFECT place for us, We went hoseback riding, to martinique, to Castries, ansa La Raye, Botanical Gardens, volcano, water falls, rented a captain for half day, Soufriere, La Dera at the Pitons, explored the country side, rainforest, Rodney bay, canaries, kayaked, snorkeled, and everything we did was OUTSTANDING.......We LOVE TKV and all of those attached to it. Thanks for a fabulous vacation!!!!!! Oh my gosh....DON"T FORGET TO GET AT LEAST THREE MASSAGES-------------------------------------Some of the best ever..

From the moment we were picked up at the airport, we were treated with courtesy and friendliness. The trip from airport to Ti Kaye took awhile, due to the winding roads, but what do you expect on a mountainous island? Besides, it gave us an opportunity to see many parts of St. Lucia on the way.

At the hotel we found fabulous food (a bit pricey for some selections, but the grilled steaks and veggies were wonderful and very much worth the cost. ) The breakfast buffet is great, and you need not get up at the crack of dawn to make it there in time. Some guests were bothered by the local birds at breakfast and lunch, but we enjoyed feeding the little ones from our table. After all, it is an open-air restaurant. Just remember to cover your food/drink whenever you leave the table!

The cottage was everything we hoped for: serenity, peace, rustic but comfortable. You can enjoy the sea breezes by opening shutters or escape the humidity when you crank up the a/c. (Mind you, there is no t.v., as this place is all about the natural ambiance.)

Besides the gorgeous view from the porch, our very favorite thing has to be the outdoor shower. Any house in a tropical region should have one of these! Whether night, day, or during rain, every shower was a sensual, calming experience.

From the farthest cottage, the walk to the restaurant/bar is only an enjoyable 3 minutes. The beach from that point is down a series of steps, but there are enough landings to use, if you need to catch your breath on the way up.

We took in the beach during the early mornings, before the busier times from 10 - 4, when often tour boats came by to use the good snorkeling/diving sites. (It is, after all, a public beach, as all are in St. Lucia.)

I would recommend this hotel for those who want relaxation as opposed to a vibrant nightlife during their vacation. Ti Kaye is quite removed from most tourist sites, but it is easy to arrange travel to other sites and activities. To sum up the "Ti Kaye Experience"- Fresh air, gorgeous scenery, nature's sounds, privacy, and a low-key, friendly atmosphere. Perfect. We plan to return again, definitely!

We just returned from a week at Ti-Kaye and had a wonderful time. We stayed in room L which is an Ocean Front Cottage with a plunge pool. Our cottage was very private and had a nice view of the ocean. The hammock and rocking chairs on the covered porch provided relaxing entertainment while we listened to music from our Ipod using their radio with an Ipod dock. We didn't miss the TV at all. We felt the plunge pool worth the extra splurge and enjoyed cooling off in it daily. The air conditioned room was excellent as was the four poster king bed with netting if needed. We never had to use the netting. A few times we just opened all the windows and doors and let the breeze and ceiling fan cool things down. The fridge was very handy and we used it for drinks and snacks we bought on our second day at Castries. The outdoor shower was wonderful and we enjoyed the occasional lizard visits. There is no way to connect to the Internet from the cottage so we took the laptop to the bar area - once. It was nice to be unplugged so didn't do that again.

We liked the quiet, small feel of the place where we got to know many of the couples staying there as well. We didn't miss nightly music /dancing etc. and rather enjoyed the steady night sounds of crickets, frogs etc. while sitting on our patio instead. It was a great way for my husband and I to connect. The staff was outstanding and friendly and helped solve a few unexpected problems that came up. They were quick and once had a clever idea which did solve the problem. The staff learned everyone's names which I found amazing. I needed their name tags! Their consistent attention to our comfort an unexpected touch.

The stairs are numerous down to the beach but amazingly didn't bother us and we are in our 50s. Although, we were very mindful of making sure we had all we needed for our stay on the beautiful beach for the day. We loved using the Kayaks and snorkeled several days. We thought it was fun to watch boats from Sandals and other resorts filled with people come to Ti-Kaye's beach to swim and snorkel. We went on two arranged tours arranged by Ti-Kaye but stayed the remainder of our time on the beach or enjoyed a massage etc. They shuttled us to and from the airport so we didn't rent a car although a few people did. The roads are very windy and steep. Very narrow roads at times. We typically rent cars on vacations and are very familiar with some difficult roads and driving on the 'other side of the road' so thought about it. We like to get out and explore. But I am glad we chose not to rent a car on this trip.

The only negative for us was the price of the food and drinks. Aside from the few things I brought with me, we purchased snacks/rum /drinks from Castries on our second day. Because our package through Expedia 'included breakfast', we ate a large late breakfast and then a late lunch from the resturant on the beach and then took up leftovers or ate our crackers and cheese etc. later for a light dinner. The food was OK and at times quite good.

We were sad to leave and hope to return.
