As a family of 2 adults and 1 small child this was more of a 'camping in a room' rather than the luxury and extras of a proper hotel - this is a definite no frills job! Not even a kettle in the room, although if you have a cafetiere with you the hotel staff will fill it with hot water at no cost. In the reception area there are 2 vending machines hot drinks/snacks, although you can get a meal (breakfast/dinner) if needed for about £5 a meal at set times of the day.
The shower and toilet were 'on suite' and very clean. The small hand basin was in the room itself.
There is secure underground car park available for 7euros for 24hrs - although to access the car park from the hotel you have to go into the more expensive ibis next door and take the lift to the underground car park.
I also managed to cram 3 bikes (with wheels removed) into the room under the desk.
There is a TV in the room but from the 33 channels only BBC News 24 was in English - although we didnt watch TV as we was out most of the time or resting/sleeping.
This trip was more about doing something on a budget as we were visiting eurodisney and money was tight. Staying outside of the usual park hotels meant we had a 1 stop train ride each day, the train station is a 30 second walk from the hotel and cost 1.90 for an adult single which also stopped right outside the park. Buying train tickets was easy as the machines could swap the language to English.
Amenities at this hotel were lacking, so a 5 minute walk to Val d'Europe shopping centre where shopping for groceries on the lower floor in 'Auchan' (tescos) or eating out at one of the food outlets was much cheaper than eating in eurodisney . Also at the train station of Marne La Vallee Chessy (eurodisney) there was a shop on the station concourse where we would get breakfast (pain au chocolate & coffee) and stock up on some bottles of water and snacks for the rest of the day. I cannot over emphasise how expensive the food outlets in eurodisney are for a snack/drink etc. I got a 500ml coke zero and 500ml bottle of water which cost 6 euro's!!!
For 3 nights in the height of the summer holidays we paid £180 for 3 nights (arriving Saturday / Departing Tuesday)
If you want something a little more than just the basics of a box room with a double and bunk beds provided by the 'ibis budget Marne la Vallée Val d'Europe (ex ETAP HOTEL)', perhaps stay next door at the 'ibis Marne la Vallée Val d'Europe' where you get more frills for your buck.
