Panas was quick to reply to my emails and charged a reasonable amount. He was waiting for us at the pier as arranged and made a very quick stop to pick up a guide book for us before taking us to the sight by the back way. This allowed us to beat the tour buses and come in on the sight from a hill which gave us a great view of the Olympic stadium. The car ride was really enjoyable as he was able to tell us all kinds of interesting things. When we got there he was able to go behind the ticket booth and get tickets for us so we didn't have to wait in line. He was waiting for us when we finished seeing both the ruins and the museum with bottles of water for us all. I had mentioned to him that I wanted to purchase some good olive oil and he took us to an olive grove where we were able to see how they took the olives from the trees and buy fresh oil and olives! He then took us to a very special place for a great lunch that none of us will ever forget followed by a visit to his local bakery where we loaded up on baklava. We made a quick stop so my son could pick up a souvenir pin(as he does in every place we visit) and then back to the trip.
All day long he made us feel like family. He took great care of us and made sure that we fit in everything that we wanted to do. Our trip with him was almost a week ago now and we talk about how great he was every day! We compare our other tours to our time with him and nothing comes close to the great time we had with him. (We have been travelling through Europe for two weeks now)
I would highly recommend that anyone going to see Olympia could not find a better way to go!
