“Tuscan Holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

Our family had the pleasure of staying 6 nights here in September 2012. We had planned to stay only 3 nights but loved it so much we extended our stay. This is a wonderful place to stay while in Tuscany. We started our mornings with a delicious breakfast, then we would spend the day touring around the countryside. The location is perfect for visiting local wineries or just walking around charming Tuscan villages. We would return from our outing, enjoy relaxing outside in a beautiful, family friendly setting, and then have a fabulous meal every night prepared by the chef, Pietro. Alessandro was always there to eagerly look after our needs as well. Our two boys, 8 and 12, loved it so much, they didn't want to leave. Thank you so much to Walter and Christina for your kindness and generosity. We hope to return someday to L'Ozio in Collina! The Sparkmans of Sarasota, FL.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. It was a wonderful place to stay especially with 3 children. The apartments are spacious and modern. We had dinner in the restaurant every night and after 4 courses we were extremely satisfied.

Ther is a great pool there as well looking out over the countryside.
Agroturismo's are definitely the way to do it in Italy as you can experience the true Italian culture and lifestyle.

Walter the owner was very accommodating and patient with the kids. Nonna in the kitchen was such a good cook and even took my wife for a lesson one afternoon.

I would highly recommend this place if you want a real Italian experience.

We had the pleasure of staying 4 wonderful nights at L 'Ozio in Collina in mid July and for us it was a highlight of our Italian holiday. The location, views of the valley and very comfortable apartment made it really easy to enjoy this place but above all of this was the amazing food we enjoyed each night in the quaint dining room. To Sandra the chef thank you very much for introducing us to your special Sicilian dishes and Matta the host for looking after all our needs. Cheers to Walter & Christina the owners - we really did love this place. Dougherty's of Jan Juc, Australia

Room Tip: Bottom floor apartment on the right was great

We loved our stay at L'Ozio in Collina...so much... we added an extra night to our stay!
Sitting by the pool overlooking the chianti region, jumping on a walking track around the property, visits to local wineries - it was exactly what we were looking for.

We were greeted by Margret our host who was very helpful and showed us everything there was to know. You had the option to cook in your room, however after one night enjoying one of the 4 course meals (home made pasta's, antipasto platters) we couldn't resist making this a nightly event. Walter (Owner) was fabulous, and gave us some wonderful advice about activities in the area and great tips for winery visits.

The food was amazing, service outstanding and the accommodation was perfect...Thanks Walter, we will be back!

We have been to L'Ozio in Collina last week while we were traveling through Tuscany last week. From the very beginning we were welcomed in a perfect way: Walter, the owner, can even speak dutch ( we live in Amsterdam) and this has really surprised us considering that some times it was still difficult to find someone who could speak english...
We were supposing to sleep there only one night but this place was so wonderful that we decided to stay the all weekend. The apartment was comfortable, clean and very well decorated. Walter and his family made us feel home and the peace you breath outside in the garden is something unforgettable. Too bad we couldn't enjoy the swimming pool but this might be a good excuse to try to come back.

A really wonderful time. In a period I was very stressed and tired I´ve escaped to Tuscany for a 4 days holiday. It was a big luck to find this home. I had such a good time I didn´t want to leave. Tuscany was unexpectedly beautiful in winter, Walter and his wife made me feel at home, the bed was warm and drinking wine in the old kitchen was like living in another world. It was 3 weeks ago but I already miss my secret retreat. Thanks again Walter !
