Stayed for only one night. Harar is charming and fascinating, and so is the area of Amir's, situated close to the eastern wall of the old city. The guesthouse is enclosed by high walls, as is common in Harar.
The three rooms are all very basic, and typical of the Harar guest houses. What is the disappointing part is the bathroom, located outside of the main building. Very, very basic, and not very clean. In this part of Ethiopia, you can't mesure things by european standards, but this bathroom was the worst on our trip to Ethiopia.
On the upside; it's fascinating to hear the hyenas grunt and growl in the African night:-)
