“Good breakfast”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

We had breakfast in this restaurant and their tapsilog is very good while their tocilog is just ok. You have a choice of 2 eggs any style and a drink would be either tea, juice or refillable brewed coffee. Service is very good as the food attendants are attentive and very pleasing. I also ordered a banana shake and it was very good especially on a very humid day. One good advantage of dining in this restaurant is the view of Hundred Islands.

“great view of the islands”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

this has always been a must place to eat when i'm in alaminos, i remember trips here with my parents when i was still a kid, always ordered the calamares and sinigang... later we were suggested to order the lapu-lapu in HK sauce.

I do hope the food is as great as it was then...

nice to sit on the farthest end of the dining area where u feel the breeze of the water and the breath taking view of the islands

“very cheap for the price : go to the boat house”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

The view is perfect, but the food is not as good as the price is high. The lady boss is awfull, really not sympathic, and compare to the philipine's hospitality is a mess.

“delightful place for seafood cravings”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

This was a highly recommended place to eat when i researched prior to our summer 2012 trip to 100 islands. Maxine by the Sea is at the center of Lucap where all accomodations are. Just a 5 minute walk and we're there, We dined at the al fresco area. It's kept clean and waiters attended to our every whim.

Their menu is varied, we were able to order Tempura for the kids too. The kids enjoyed the crunchy calamares, deliciously sauteed crabs in garlic n butter, grilled fish among others. We ordered a lot for a family of 6, but we sure did eat all of them. My daughter even said "best dinner ever!" to express her delight.

Regarding the price, it is a bit pricey but well worth it. Esp if you want a hefty meal after the island hopping. A must try when visiting Alaminos for the first time.

The waiters are even well-informed and accommodating enough as to answer my inqusitive question of who was "Maxine". It's up to you to find out who she is.
