“BEST GERMAN FOOD EVER”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

The food is awesome, especially the german food. But also the philippino food is very, very nice. I can highly recommed to go there. Its just a five 5 min motorbike ride from Saud beach/ or the city center. The staff is very mindful and friendly. Keep on this way! And see you again Pagudpud. M&J

“Soon we shall return, very soon!”

Bergblick Restaurant, Pagudpud: What a surprise; to find what must be one of the top dining places in the Philippines, there, in the "middle" of a rice field, a few mins drive from the famous, beautiful Saud Beach.
We came to Pagudpud first time Feb 2012. After discovering Bergblick, we decided to extend our stay several days, in order to enjoy some more meals there, before we had to leave.
We just couldn't get enough of their great blend and presentations of very tasteful international, german and local dishes. All with an always warm welcoming, attending and professional service from the Chef and his well trained crew (they sure understand how to serve your meal properly, in which order, timing etc.), at a very reasonable cost. A great value, and a nice place to wait the extra few mins it takes for your meal to be freshly cooked from scratch.
Dish after dish, meal after meal, day after day; what a joy! (Very hard to depart from.)
Their cleanliness too deserves a comment: everything is spotless, including the cr; so clean you could have your lunch there.
Yes, we have a complain too, in order to balance out a bit this review: It is much too far from Sagada! :-)
Last February, we were back again in Pagudpud, for a whole month this time, enjoying the fantastic beach and MANY more lovely meals in Bergblick.
Soon it's February again, and what seems to become our yearly trip to Pagudpud. We can hardly wait to be back, and enjoy life the way we know best; great meals with good friends.........and a beach.

“Consistently good food”
Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant serves consistently good food and great service. My husband and I have been dining here every chance we get for almost two years now and the quality of their food and service only gets better with time. The BergBlick Pan as well as the Sausage Platter when paired with German wheat beer and Dornfelder wine never disappoints.

“Wonderful!”

The dinner at Bergblick completed our 5-day Pagudpud stay! We had the fish soup, half kilo steamed prawns, Sausage platter with Sauerkraut and creme brulee. Everything was great - food, ambiance and service!

“What can I say.....delicious!”
Reviewed December 15, 2013

This is a gem of a restaurant. Didnt expect such a culinary delight in such a quiet place such as Pagudpud. Owner/Chef Detlev has fantastic customer service skills and visits every table several times throughout the night to ensure you are enjoying the meal. I doubt you will find a better place to eat in the area.

Food is German, Filipino and fusion Italian/Filipino.

I had the pork and chicken kebab with vegetables which was beautifully presented on a stainless steel skewer served on a wooden platter and came with crisp potato skins and 3 sauces. We had guests who shared a seafood platter, bagnet and rice with my wife. All meals were well presented and very tastey.

Highly recommended.
