“Huge and Awesome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2012

My friends and I went here during the peakseason (holyweek) it's 4pm already when we arrived. Those windmills were huge! you could hear the sounds of its fan while spinning. Since it was 4pm, the sunset was so nice and relaxing.. the windmills are along the beach, there were stalls for souvenirs of handcraft windmills which costs about 40-60php each depending on its size.

“Wind Power!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2012

I love this place because I am a fan of alternative energy. Even though I went there around 11:00 am, the wind was so strong that my pockets were filled with sand. It's fascinating. No store nearby to buy food, refreshments and souvenirs.

“Windmills of Ilocos!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

Bangui Windmills is an interesting place to go, especially when you have kids. I don't think swimming is allowed on the beach though... the waves are too strong. The Windmills are the source of electricity for majority of Northern Ilocos. When the Windmills doesn't turn, then be sure that Pagudpud does not have electricity.

“They are Very Very tall!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2012

As part of the tricycle tour, we went to the Bangui Windmills. And my, They are very very tall. One could see an almost 50-storey cylindrical tube connecting the head of the blades to the base. The blades are also huge and the sound the "swoosh" sound they make only tells you of the strength of force being applied to them.

I could not get a very decent picture of it since it is so tall and huge, i can't seem to get the desired angle of attach.

Surely one of the places you need to go to when you visit Pagudpud. Renewable energy generation right before your eyes. :)

“Very nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2012

Very nice, powdery black sand beach although with the very strong waves, not really swimmable. Still, the kids had a lot of fun playing in the sand and chasing the waves.
