This quaint little trattoria up in the hills of Bagno a Ripoli was one of the many highlights of our restaurant visits in Tuscany. Recommended by our hotel staff when I asked for a true Tuscan cuisine. The place was easy to find, the owner/waiter Roberto was the coolest dude. He spoke very little english but uses hands, smiles, and broken up words to explain the menu which is only in Italian but it was worth it. The menu had many choices, the food was beyond great, the ambience, the service and the whole experience blew our minds off. The best was Roberto explaining Rabbit meat to me by hopping. We will recommend this place as a must visit if you go to Florence and have a car.
The ambience was very rustic. Looked like some one's farm house, tastefully done, and warm. We sat near a Canadian couple and the guy was a chef himself who checked the kitchen and was raving about it. Good times.

I ate there on saturday night. Arrived at 8PM and stayed outside. The view of Florence is nice but we were the only persons in the terrace and the restaurants. Others guests starts to arrive at 8:30PM. Need to remember that in Italy dinner starts late.

Nothing spcial with the food. Typical italian menu. Almost all the restaurants have similar menus, pasta, crustinis and steaks.

This trattoria overlooks Florence and has great "cucina casalinga". Our family of five ate one evening in July during our summer holidays and was impressed with the quality of the food, the view, the owner's willingness to please as well as the reasonable prices. The real Italians come here. It is worth the visit!

Tucked away in the hills overlooking the south of Florence this place serves up some real tuscan meals at a reasonable price. The filet steak & pork chops were very tasty while the ambience and service were fine. Certainly not the best in the area but worth a visit.

This trattoria was a real find! It's tucked away on a Tuscan hill with a FANTASTIC view of Florence. We visited on two different evenings but we could only imagine the view at lunch time. The food is genuinely Tuscan and the place was full of locals - clearly a good sign. The steak we had was very memorable - for all the right reasons! The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. One small tip: if you're travelling with children, call and book the only table that has a small stone bench with cushions on it. Our little one loved it and fell asleep immediately allowing us to enjoy a fantastic meal....twice!
