This quaint little trattoria up in the hills of Bagno a Ripoli was one of the many highlights of our restaurant visits in Tuscany. Recommended by our hotel staff when I asked for a true Tuscan cuisine. The place was easy to find, the owner/waiter Roberto was the coolest dude. He spoke very little english but uses hands, smiles, and broken up words to explain the menu which is only in Italian but it was worth it. The menu had many choices, the food was beyond great, the ambience, the service and the whole experience blew our minds off. The best was Roberto explaining Rabbit meat to me by hopping. We will recommend this place as a must visit if you go to Florence and have a car.
The ambience was very rustic. Looked like some one's farm house, tastefully done, and warm. We sat near a Canadian couple and the guy was a chef himself who checked the kitchen and was raving about it. Good times.
