“Wonderful 2 days in preparation for our wedding in 2014”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

My Fiance and I have just returned from a wonderful two days with Sasha and Tim. After being recommended by a friend we decided purely from the website that we had to get married here as it looked exactly what we were looking for. Well we were not dissappointed on arriveal with the stunning Chateau and surrounding properties. Sasha and Tim helped talk through our wedding and made some very helpful suggestions that we had not considered prior to visiting. The room was lovely and clean and we felt like you were staying with friends with such a warm relaxed atmosphere. Sasha's food was simply divine and look forward to eating such wonderful food again next year at our wedding. Tim was very knowledgeable on the wine choices and we were never left with an empty glass.
We are very much looking forward to the next 15 months working with Sasha, Tim and Stephanie to help make our wedding weekend everything we could wish for.
I would highly recommend the Chateau whether it be for a long weekend or to consider for your wedding. I only wish we were getting married this year!

This is a couple of months late but I just wanted to say to Tim and Sasha thank you so much for a fantastic evening's celebration in their barn/restaurant. We have eaten here before on their special music nights and always enjoyed the food and the bands. But New Year was very special. We had come down with two other couples and, almost at the last minute, decided to come along for the evening. Well, what a night! The different courses for the feast were all delicious (Sasha is an excellent cook) and Tim's normal attention to the wine choices was correct, as ever! The guitarists accompanying the meal were very talented and then the disco afterwards got us all up and dancing. I'm sure we'll be coming back many times over when we are down in Ginestas.

I should just add what a beautiful old building this venue is, the lovely old house, with the gites and the gorgeous stone barn with the enormous wine barrels set into the walls , all set around an atmospheric courtyard. We have sat outside on warm summer evenings and inside in the winter. No complaints at all!

We had visited this Chateau earlier this year for a wedding and vowed to come back in the low season this November whilst on a road trip around France. Therefore we had an idea about what we were in for, but did not expect the experience to be just as exciting as our first one.
We arrived on Friday afternoon amidst musicians practising for an evening concert, wedding clients having consultations and guest booking in. It really was a bustle of activity; we had left the tranquil hotels behind us! However, Tim, the owner, greeted us immediately on arrival, remembering our names and the wedding that we had attended. We were offered lunch as soon as we arrived, even though it was way past the 2.00p.m cut off that the majority of French restaurants in the South adhere to. So, we sat down in the still sunny courtyard, it being late November, early December and enjoyed watching the preparations for the evening concert taking place.
Our room was in the Chateau, a charming pale yellow ‘antique’ room with a huge double bed with feather pillows and a brocade bedcover that looked as though it had come from the 1930’s. There were two beautiful ‘Voltaire’ style chairs and views over the inner courtyard. The bath fittings were adequate and yes, there are the odd chips of paint but the room clean, tidy and with plenty of space and tons of character.
We were offered tea and coffee downstairs in the Chateau kitchen, the owner explained that with so many weddings, they did not have coffee making facilities in the bedrooms for fear of someone scalding themselves whilst under the influence, well fair enough I suppose!
At 7.30 we made our way over to the restaurant on the other side of the courtyard. We came all this way to the South of France to watch a favourite ‘80’s band called Titanic, who I have been following for forever. Tonight was to be a special anniversary night for me and it did not disappoint. The band were incredible, as usual, the sax player walking over the tables and the band belting out a variety of their best numbers. The venue is not just ideal for music, it is exciting; I highly recommend it, the atmosphere just cannot be found anywhere else. The Chateau served a huge multi course buffet full of different choices. This was not ‘cordon bleu’ food; more like a Mediterranean banquet with cold entrées, local hams and salami’s, casseroles, roast meats and desserts. The evening finished at midnight and a good night’s sleep was followed by a simple continental breakfast.
The next day Tim took us on a wine tour into three of the surrounding wine regions where we met with the wine makers themselves and filled the boot of our car with sensational wines that we can’t find at home. We returned to the Chateau for a relaxing afternoon and a walk along the beautiful Canal du Midi, which runs near this lovely old village.
We returned for another unusual evening at the Chateau restaurant. We started with cocktails on the terrace overlooking the small vineyard and watched the sun go down before sitting down at our table in the old wine barn.
There was a large group of French client’s who were celebrating a birthday as well as two young wedding couples who were visiting. This evening we were served a degustation menu made up of six different courses. What finesse was lacking in the food for the rock concert was more than made up for with both the presentation and quality of this nights food. It was fine dining at its best with succulent langoustine, filet beef that melted in the mouth and gooey sticky chocolate pudding. As the evening drew on we joined the two wedding couples and exchanged notes about our experiences.
At 11.00 the lights went down, the smoke machine started and the laser lights beamed across the room, a disco had started. All the French group were up and dancing and we were pulled onto the dance floor. Unbelievably we danced till 2.00 in the morning and didn’t manage to get to bed until three, we have not had so much fun since, well, the wedding we attended here in October. We had to drive half way back up France the next day, so with sore heads we said our fond farewells, what a place!
If you want somewhere different, somewhere where you can relax, somewhere not so plush and swanky that you can’t let your hair down, this is not a five star hotel, this is more like your own home, if this is what you like, then the Chateau is definitely for you.
We will be back!

After spending a week staying with my family it was time to move onto our own hotel/guest house, we chose this Chateau as our venue and very pleased we did.

On arrival we were greated but a beautiful ornate chateau, lots of green grounds, lovely swimming pool and friendly staff.

Our apartement was more like a house on its own, with a kitchen/diner, living room, double bedroom with on-suite shower room, a second double room and a separate showers room it was perfect for us, two adults and one child. My daughter was very excited to have not only her own room but her own bathroom/shower too.

There is french doors opening out from the kitchen overlooking the pool, french doors from the living area overlooking the courtyard and a singel door out onto the terrace.

This for us was the best bit, it consists of several lounging chairs, a full dining table and chairs and a BBQ, we spent every evening sitting out here overlooking the lawns and fields beyond. We saw an amazing lightning display over the mountians too.

The accomodation was self catering which suited us well, it is fully equiped and had everything we needed.

There is a large pool in the gardens, warm and clean, a trampoline and table tennis. On several weekends we watched live musical entertainment in the courtyard which my 7 year old loved, she danced till midnight.

Location is ideal, close to the main routes for days out and a trip into the village. The staff very friendly and helpful with suggestions on places to visit.

We loved this Chateau as it was like home from home, if you wanted to go out for the day no problem, if you wanted to stay in there was plenty to do around the house.

Well worth a trip and would reccomend it highly.

It has been almost a year to the day that my wife Caroline and I met Tim and Sasha for the first time. It was her 30th birthday and, after a month of searching online, it was our first visit to a venue.
Sasha picked us up from the train station on what was a rainy, windy December day and took us back on the quick drive to the Chateau... Tim immediately greeted us at the door and after about three jokes and a whiskey we knew this was the place... The beauty of the village, the chateau, and the region ( vineyards everywhere ) speak for themselves but it was the complete involvement and care from Tim and Sasha that sealed it.
And by involvement I mean everything!!!
From booking outside accommodations for your guests, to Sasha heading up the flower arrangements as well as the kitchen ( Sasha is a professional chef ), to Tim running your music for you, both in the chateau and at the ceremony ( in our case the village church ). Even doing your picture's for you if you don't have a photographer ( Tim is a professional photographer )......
To be able to have everything taken care of on site is the number one stress reliever, believe me.
And did I mention the quality of the food? And for the price?? INSANE INSANE INSANE!!!!!!
Tapas, Beef, Fish, Chicken all cooked to perfection just kept coming ( Both my parents are chef's and they were blown away )
WIne's from the region paired up with each dish magnificently as well..
It's important to understand that there will always be stress, things can always go wrong, what's important is how your hosts deal with it and we had the absolute best example of how good Tim, Sasha, and their entire team really are.
On September 29th 2012 ( our wedding day ) the first tropical storm in 50 years hit southwest France. I'm not kidding. The power went down in the chateau, and the entire outdoor was flooded in relentless rain ( something that NEVER happens in this region ) which was meant to host the champagne reception and dinner. NOONE panicked and without even batting an eye an old country barn area was decorated for the champagne reception and the dance hall was transformed into our dining room as if it was always meant to be...
If you want the perfect vineyard wedding in the south of France and still have an english speaking staff that understands your needs, that know their business and care about yours, than there is no other place.
Honestly, you can't find a better venue and I haven't even mentioned the value. Good luck finding anything that even comes close

After attending 11 weddings in the UK last year, my husband & I visited the chateau back at Easter as we really wanted something different for our wedding. We'd seen this place online and wanted to get a feel of whether this would be suitable for our special day later in the year.
We spent a wonderful 3 nights there (and sampled the homecooked food which was out of this world) and after sitting down to discuss all our requirements and concerns with Sasha & Tim, the owners, we were both hooked!
Due to it's fabulous location, wonderful scenery and ease of access from various airports we enticed 90 of our friends over from the UK, and even 2 from Australia!
We thought it would only be polite to stretch our wedding out over 3 days and with quite a large wedding party (was 7 bridesmaids too many?) the chateau not only offered to cater for a long weekend but also housed all of the wedding party & family at the house.
Booking accommodation for our guests appeared very simple and they all managed to book via the help of Stephanie who took control and did all the bookings for all our guests back in the UK.
Friday night was buffet night for all the guests in the restaurant, and maybe a few too many warm up drinks for the big day on the Saturday. This was great for everyone to get together and for the mingling to get going. A nice 3 course meal was just what our guests needed after a long week at work and flight out. There isn't alot of facilities in the local village so the buffet was perfect.
Wedding day was just simply magical! We married in the front grounds of the chateau and Sasha made it all look wonderful with her flower arrangements and carpeted walkway.
John, the celebrant was great fun and put me at ease as I was panicking I'd forget my vows!
Reception drinks and canapes in the courtyard were very well received by all our guests (we are still getting praise now from our guests about the canapes & amount of champagne they received) and the courtyard looked only how we could have dreamt with Tim's hard work to string out the chinese lanterns and everything looked fabulous in the candlelight.
Food was of the highest quality and the frogs legs & escargot were a great conversation starter for guests who didn't know each other.
Sunday pool party didn't really take off but that is because all of our friends were too hungover! They lapped up the BBQ in the evening however, again in the courtyard and the drinks soon started flowing again.
The whole weekend seemed to flow beautifully and without a hitch and if there were any problems, we certainly didn't know about it!
If you are looking for a wedding venue with a difference then we really cannot rate the chateau highly enough.
All the rooms are comfortable and spacious, the food is fabulous and we just want to do it all over again!
Our friends have not stopped talking about it since we've been back
Tim, Sasha, Stephanie & their staff were so welcoming and obliging to all our needs and requests and we will never be able to thank them enough.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms in the main house!

I went to a fabulous wedding in a French Chateau in September. Sister-in-laws wedding, nothing went wrong (which so often can at weddings). They even catered for my fussy eating. Had a choccy on my pillow, and the room was delightfully vintage, French and flowery with a huge bed with crisp white sheets and big comfy pillows. It was a bright fab room with lovely views. Friday night was an open ‘mic’ evening with an amazing feast. The music wasn’t dated and the band was funky and they were happy to take requests. On Saturday the courtyard was changed into fairyland with candles and lanterns and we ate under the stars. The wedding cake was a huge tower of fairy cakes and we had sausages at midnight, we were certainly never underfed. The owner arranged an awesome live band in the evening with him playing on drums. A disco followed which didn’t stop till 2 in the morning and we didn’t once stop dancing. The owners seemed to be really nice and easy to approach if you had a problem and they were really kind, friendly and welcoming. They helped us booking taxis and horse riding for Sunday morning. We were spoiled rotten. We had a lush pool party BBQ on Sunday afternoon where they served huge sides of pork and chicken kebabs. Great party, beautiful place, didn’t want to go home. As head bridesmaid, I’m booking for my friends wedding in 2013!!!!! Problem solved!
