“Kavos June and August”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2014

Me and my boyfriend booked Kavos for June 2013 and can honestly say it was the best holiday, Trabukos is right on the beach, one of the liveliest hotels, and central to all the main bars on the strip. We didn't book any events with the reps as we read the reviews... saying that they didn't bother with us being a couple, but we defs would recommend the paint party and booze cruise. The hotel isn't brilliant, not happy that rooms don't get cleaned at all, and you need to take your own towels... would defs recommend paying extra for a studio room as they are so much better than the standard rooms. We loved our time in Kavos, at the end of the day it is what it is and its ridiculously cheap, we came home and booked again for August.. well worth the pennies!

Me and my friend went to Kavos on the 2nd of September till the 9th 2013. I myself was worried about the place being quiet as it was later on in the season. I was mistaken! The place was constantly heaving which was amazing. The bars especially Buzz was packed constantly playing the best music as well as Rolling Stones. I would recommend to go to Kavos in September definitely, as it is still very busy and you will have an amazing time! The hotel Trabukos was definitely the best situated hotel, having been right on the strip and next to Buzz bar which is one of the busiest and best. The hotel was basic and the rooms weren't particularly anything special, however if you aren't particularly spending much time in your room like we were, it's fine. The only downside I would say was the shower, it is very difficult to have to shower without a shower attached to the wall so there was a lot of water left on the floor. I would also recommend staying on the maid's good side as she would charge some ridiculous prices if anything went wrong. Kavos was definitely the best week of our lives, if it's a place where you want to get absolutely mortal every night of the week in the sun with your mates, it's definitely the place for you! We had the time of our lives and even 2 months on, I still have Kavos blues and want to be back! Definitely a place I'll revisit!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with AC even though it's 40 Euros it's well needed. Also ask for a room on a...

Don't go to this hotel ever.My son had his ipad , cash and phone stolen from his room.Never leave your keys in reception. When my son reported it to the police he was forced to say this stuff was stolen on the beach instead of the hotel. The manager was telling the police what to do.the incident number the police gave turned out to be fake. The manager has interests in the medical centre and police. The medical centre charged my son twice for one visit.Stay well clear. If you do go punch him for me :)

One good thing was the location, on the strip close to clubs shops restaurants and the beach but that is it. I came here in September with a group of friends after reading reviews we were very worried and the reviews were true. We were checked in and made to hand over £50 and our passports. We then had a 5 minute meeting in which we were warned if we broke anything we would have to pay and also if the sheets had stains like makeup on or if we flushed toilet paper down the toilet!!! After having the toilet we were expected to put the tissue in a bin. In the week we were there our bed sheets were thrown in our room ONCE for the whole stay and we had to make our beds up ourselves, we also ended up stealing towels from the cupboards as we had none at all. The reps are complete idiots they hound you before you've even got your key in the door they don't stop knocking demanding 150 euro to be involved in a pool party that's at your own hotel and a foam party that you can pay 25euro for. If you don't book with them they ignore you for the whole holiday and are very rude. Kevin and Tom if you don't like your job find another one! The place is full of trash it stinks to high heaven and the behaviour of the people, there like dogs on heat with a great choice of easy girls to choose from. I made the most of my holiday but I would never go here again NO THANKS

We stayed here for a week in September, it was quite a cheap holiday so we weren't expecting much, however the main thing that let it down was the lack of facilities in the room, as there was no self catering facilities in our room besides a fridge. The room was very basic but adequate, however if you are not up for partying every night till 5am do not stay here as it is surrounded by some of the biggest nightclubs in Kavos which stay open till around this time. Also the air conditioning was €40 a week and the safe was €10. However being right next to the beach was really nice and also this place has one of the nicest pools in the area which is a real bonus considering the cheap price of the apartments. Overall I would stay here again but only at another great price as there is probably better in the area.

I went here for a week with a friend and i would deffo not recomend it seriously stay clear! the manager is horrible he took my passport off me for aparently stealing his kettle and was not willing to let me fly he is the most grumpiest person i have ever met and should not work in a club 18-3o hotel, i was also in hospital for three days due to being bitten very badly as the hotel is so dirty dont expect your beds to be changed The reps and the people in the hotel are a laugh though my rep came to my room straight away just after paying £50 euros they wanted more money for the week which i find pretty as your just off a flight! there is no towels provided and my fridge was mouldy/ showers did not work. its the worst hotel in the world and now i am left with the scars to prove it as it wasso dirty i was bitten so badly. If it was not for the people i met this would be a rubbish holiday the manager is rude but kavos is amazing pretty dirty and smells but a good laugh if your wanting a cheap holifay go to another hotel just not this place and you get no sleep due to atlantis/

Room Tip: make a list as soon as you arrive as they will do anything to make sure you dont get your money back...

I've just arrived back from staying in a trabukos studio apartment for a week, this was booked through Thomas cook as part of their 18-30s club.
expect to pay a deposit (ours was €50 each.) and hand over your passports on arrival. we were not told, when booking, that we had to pay a deposit so were not prepared and it cut into our spending money quite a bit.
we were given room 217.
it was equipped with:
3 basic beds with 1 pillow, a sheet and a cover each
a 2 electric hob kitchenette with basin and fridge
cutlery and a kettle that we never used
a wet-room with toilet sink and shower. - the shower was just a base with a tap and hand held shower head.
a balcony with garden chairs and a table.

no towels were provided nor was any hairdryer, pots, pans etc.
we had a semi view of the pool and beach from our room but were mostly overlooked by the rooms opposite us.
there were only 2 windows, one was in the bathroom and the other were double doors leading to the balcony so it got very hot at night when we were uncomfortable leaving the double doors open in case someone came in while we slept. there was an air conditioning unit but I don't know how much that would be because we didn't use it. the maid only didn't come 3 days out of the 7 and that, we figured, was due to room change overs.

being an 18-30 club hotel, it was very noisy and busy, but this is to be expected because of the young clientele. the hotel is situated right on the strip which plays music loudly from about 11pm until very early, but once we closed the balcony doors we weren't bothered by it too much.
the pool also played music, it was open from 10am-7pm but we never really found it intrusive and it was quite nice to always have something going on in the hotel. it was free to sit by the pool but they ask you to buy a drink, and for €1 bottle of water you can chill there the whole day.

the pool backs onto the beach which wasn't the cleanest but it wasn't a bad beach. there are water sports available a short walk away, but we thought it was quite expensive. instead we took a peddle boat out for €4 each, you got an hour and had pretty much free reign of the water. there's the opportunity to rent quad bikes, scooters and beach-buggies for approx. €20 for the whole day. we didn't because we weren't sure if we'd be covered by insurance if anything went wrong, but it was highly recommended by our neighbours.

we didn't do any of the 18-30s nights out, and to be honest i'm quite glad because they sound like a complete rip-off. but loads of people did get involved and i'm sure they had a blast.
there was only really 1 major thing that p**sed us off and that was that we were conned into putting a our room deposit down on big reunion tickets under a promise that they would get us late checkout and that we had until the 'end of September' to pay the rest of the ticket. got completely lied to as when we went to check that we had late checkout the receptionist had no record of anything. and when reading the t&cs the end of September is actually the 20th. 10 days after returning from our holiday, we were expected to fork out £100 each. but this is 18-30s doing not the hotel.

overall, don't expect much from the hotel because it is very basic accommodation. its in a good location for clubbing and the beach. we wouldn't necessarily recommend this place as i'm sure there is nicer, but we wouldn't advise against going there because its a good price and in a very good location.

Room Tip: try and get a pool view
