Had a lovely lunch here in august. I had a really hearty bowl of potato and fennel soup and chose a wheaten scone which was really tasty, proper homemade flavour. The coffee is good, desserts are irresistible, and again good homemade fayre. The adjoining shop has lots of interesting bits and bobs, all in all a really pleasant spot to while away a wet Achill afternoon.

this was a stop on our CIE tour and was an excellent choice. The homemade soups and pies were absolutely the best we ate in all of Ireland! Definitely worth the stop for lunch while in this very interesting area!

This restaurant has a captive audience as there is little or no competition nearby. It is a nice cafe / restaurant with roomy tables but the service is somewhat slow, you should not be in a hurry on Acill. The soups were quite tasty served with homemade bread rolls. The tea and coffeee were as you would expect. If you are unlucky to coincide your visit with a coach tour then it could be quite overcrowded.

Went for lunch here on a recent visit to Keel, ordered lasagne and salad, what I received was some lettuce and grated carrot and a bowl of pasta sheets with a gloopy orange sauce. I was under the impression that lasagne contained meat, not so at the Beehive! Couldn't eat it. Won't bee back.

Family trip to Keel ruined by The Beehive. I visited here with my young family, and took my place in the self service queue (it's quite expensive for a canteen, at the prices they charge you'd expect table service). An entire coach party of tourists jumped the queue. The primary queue jumper was very rude about it in front of a member of staff. The manager could only suggest I pushed my way back in, which isn't a sensible solution to a problem where there is a confrontation. We left without eating.

It was a shame because the location is good, but if you want decent service where you feel valued, then try somewhere else.
