Our thanks go out to Xanthe, Sophia, and their entire family who from the moment we arrived treated us like friends and not just paying guest. The hotel was clean well maintained and the service second to none. As stated in previous reviews the food is mostly traditional Greek fare of a high standard with plenty of variety, all prepared by xanthe's Mum. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of paridissi and about a 40 minute drive to Rhodes. So if your looking for a quiet holiday with the option to travel to the busy areas then this is the holiday for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vallian Hotel and yet again our thanks go out to the family who made it such a memorable experience. We will be back Xanthe.

Love Linsay and Dave !!!

We stayed 12- 26 June and all as has been described is as it is.
Lovely family headed by Xanthe all doing their part to keep the place spotless and guests happy.
Pros- Clean rooms, lovely home cooked food by Mum, Sofia and Mary looking after you at meal times and Chris and Alex running the bar so efficiently. Fabulous pool, kept perfect by Dad. They cannot do enough for you and are a very proud family. They even took us back to the airport! ( must have drank too much on AI- pleased to get rid of me?!). Rhodes town fabulous- check out a great restaurant called Kerasma and our review of it. Easy journey from airport.
Cons- was a bit of a battle for a sunbed with folks putting towels on the night before. Had to get up at 4am to reserve one- not what I would call a holiday lie in! Apparently this has now been resolved- Great news! Beach nearby in need of a bit of TLC and stoney.
There is no entertainment but I got roped in to doing a quiz on a few nights- they can prep the questions from Xanthe.WIFI was free but often intermittent! You get used to the planes after a day- we did not mind as our daughter flies for BA and it was of interest to us.
Will definiltely go back next year- met some lovely people too which you would not do in a larger/more pretentious hotel.

We read the other reviews on trip advisor but you never really know if things live up to their reputation. Well the Vallian Village does - in spades!!
It is a 3 star hotel with 5 star service. The family who run it are so friendly and the food is of the finest home-cooked quality, with plenty to go round. Normally on buffet style menus, the food is depleted closer to the end of service - not here. The trays were well maintained and the food always hot.
The pool area is well maintained with no real trouble getting a sun-bed (although it is wise to reserve one) and the pool is a great size and kept clean.
The room are basic but have air-conditioning (5 euros per day extra) and a small bathroom. Beds are comfy and the rooms are cleaned every day with a sheet and towel change.
Airport is close but not a problem (cheap and quick to get to and from). The local beach is a bit stony but a local bus can be caught a 2 minute walk away and goes to Rhodes Old Town (jaw-droppingly beautiful) via some popular beaches.
A taxi to RhodesTown costs about 20 euros each way.
Kids enjoyed it too.
What you save on the cost o the holiday means you can spend more on enjoying yourself whilst there.
ENJOY

Me and Dan came for 10 days at the start of July. We knew how close it was to the airport but didnt really faze us. I love planes so it was exciting to see them come over. They do stop the converstaion but it lasts a minute. When got a taxi from thei airport with no trouble and was told 8 euros so we gave a tenner...some people that we spoke to had been charged up to 13 Euro best check first. Xanthe and her sister sofia, greeted us when we arrived and as it was still in time for tea we were offered to go for tea, we had food so declined. Throughout the whole week they would bend over backwards and do anything for you. Food was good, needed a bit more seasoning but I had my salt n pepper and I was fine. The taziki is to die for. Dan would say he didnt like the breakfast... I was happy enough with my boiled egg ham n cheese and a bread roll. The bar staff Chris and Alex are amazing, we had many a nights up late, but we werent loud. Sun loungers werent an issue with us, as alex went round andd folded peoples towels who had been out early hours. All I could suggest that would make the place better would be a little super market near by. You can by ciggarets and water/crisps from the hotel but a shop would be good.
All in all we had an amazing time clean friendly and we met some amazing people. Defiinatly would reccomend.

Really tranquil beautiful place, food all home cooked, brilliant value for money, will definitely return. Family who run the hotel are so hard working and welcoming. Ice cream from 3-6 with coffee and biscuits all inclusive meals and pool bar until 10.30 pm, when you can pay for very reasonably priced drinks, also pizza available from the pool bar for 4.50

Room Tip: Avoid rooms at the back if possible as they back on to maids quarters and they start work early !
