Stayed in this hotel with my friend in July has taken me a while to write my review.
Hotel was a great find, rooms were cleaned every day and the girls cleaning them were very helpful and lovely! we were lucky to get one with a fly screen across the balcony doors so only had to pay for air con one night at €7 and the midges were not a problem for us although others did have more problems with them.
Hotel staff were all friendly especially Michael and eva.
Food was also lovely maybe limited choices for some but I am very fussy and there was always something I could eat and I never went hungry. Food was always of a high standard and very traditional.

We returned last week following a week's holiday at the Asterias Hotel. We could not fault anything, the food was beautiful, typically Greek, very fresh, tasty and plenty of it and the cleanliness is of a high standard We had a very relaxing holiday which was what we both needed. All inclusive from 11.30am - 10.00pm which in our opinion is long enough, the bar staff will let you double up. We did eat at Mike's Taverna one evening however the food in the hotel is just as good if not better. The only downside was the overhead planes however we knew this before we booked and it didn't spoil the holiday one bit! We would certainaly recommend this hotel as all the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. Thank you to you all.

If you are after sandy beach, loads of bars and discos in the area or a hotel that caters for British tourists (i.e. full English breakfast, pizza, chicken nuggets etc.) – it will definitely not be for you.

It was absolutely amazing for us. We have just returned from Asteria Hotel on the 12th September. We had a great time there.

Hotel
The accommodation is really basic, but very clean. At some point in the future it will require an update, but we have not gone to Rhodes to sit in our hotel room. We had a room on the 1st floor with a sea view. The rooms and balconies were cleaned daily. Unfortunately few rooms do not have the mosquito mesh.

Staff
Very friendly. Bar staff and women in the kitchen were always smiling. Very grateful when we were clearing our plates, rather than just leaving them on the table. Bartender was funny and always up for a chat.

Guests
At the time of our stay the hotel had mainly Slovakians, Czechs and British staying in. There were also some Russians, couple of Polish and German guests.

Food
OMG! I miss the food already! It felt like visiting a Greek aunt who cooks for her family and few other guests that decide to visit them. It is very much home Greek cooking. We absolutely loved the tomatoes. I have no idea why some people put that there was nothing to eat and they “had” to eat out. There were not a massive choice for breakfast, but there were always baked beans, fresh bread, scrambled or cooked eggs, salads, cheese and ham. We even had smoked bacon one time. We have been told that Greeks do not eat breakfasts. They drink a coffee in the morning and have a sweet bun or a piece of cake with it.

When it comes to lunch or dinner, there were more choices. There was always rice, chips, pasta, potatoes, soup, 2 types of meat and vegetarian dish plus a lot of fresh salads. We were stuffed.

However I would appreciate more watermelon…

The think I would change is the time that lunch was served. If it was as it states on hotel’s website, it would have been a lot better. But you had 3 hours difference between breakfast and lunch, and 4.5 hours different between lunch and dinner. Of course there was cake/something sweet in between, but any other snacks you would have to pay for.

All inclusive drinks
It did not bother us that you could get alcoholic drinks only from 11.30 am, as soft drinks were available in the canteen area. Unfortunately 10pm was a bit too early to finish free servings.

Location
Great quiet town. Few shops, few bars, few hotels. That is what we were looking for! I do not understand why people complain that there is nothing to do… If you wanted a party place, you should have gone to Faliraki.

Unfortunately the fact that the hotel is so close to the airport is the disadvantage. You can get used to the planes during the day, but the also depart during the night. If you a light sleeper like me, you will need some earplugs. The first night was the worse, but it got easier with time.

Pros
- amazing Greek home-cooked feel cuisine
- Clean rooms
- Very friendly staff
- Have I already mentioned the food?
- Quiet village
- Nice pool over 3 m deep at the far end
- Free sun-beds by the pool and the limited number of them at the beach
- Alexander coctail
- And of course the food

Cons
- Air-conditioning is paid extra – 7 Euro a day
- There is no fresh juice and served drinks are only with sweeteners
- Location – too close to the airport

just returned yesterday after 2 relaxing weeks which is what we went for. Lovely small hotel all the staff were fantastic would do anything for you the rooms basic but you expect this in greece and they were cleaned and towels changed every day. For such a small hotel the food available was great and you could always find something you liked. The beach is very stoney but always managed to find a sun bed which are scattered up and down the beach if you bother to walk a short way.If you do feel the need for a full english or just fancy a night out try Billy bar great food and service. Jenny supermarket across the road sells frozen bottles of water which we took to the beach most days. Mikalis and Eva behind the bar on a night were great the services was excellent the drinks just kept coming and Mikalis will give you advise on where to go and what too see if you ask. You have to try his Alexander cocktails they are to die for(we wish him and his wife all the luck with there new baby) all in all a great relaxing holiday

Stayed there in August travelling as acouple and we were both highly delighted with it. Food was very good. Not a great many choices but all were well cooked and tasty. The complaints about breakfasts in previous reviews we found were completely unfounded. Full English was not available but this is a small, family run hotel in Greece. We were certainly never hungry.
The rooms were not large but had plenty of storage and were certainly big enough for two.
As far as the staff were concerned they were great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
We would certainly use this hotel again.
