Buildings and general landscape are all very clean and fresh (Sept19). The water falls are well worth the visit, and if you take the time to wonder around and in particular find all 12 of the fairies..... harder then you can image! plus the view from the top is well worth the visit
If you have children there are lots of good fresh play equipment to keep little ones amused for quite a while, plus the café does massive Scones which go very well with Tea, Jam and cream.

Such a lovely day out with children, rocks to climb, stepping stones, 2 play areas, trampolines and good walk with a stunning fern garden; a visit here is perfect for connecting as a family. Our 4 year old was particularly pleased when we made it to the adventure obstacle course after the big walk up to the waterfall.
The food is lovely, with delicious gluten free options. The bloody Mary prawn sandwiches are very lovely, the chef made a non vodka one for our daughter.

If you are a nature lover and appreciate good views and dont mind step uphill walking this is definitely the place for you! You follow a path up to the top of the falls and are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Devon countryside, so the climb is more than worth it. The grounds are generally well kept but the only reason I have given 4 of 5 stars was that the ponds were in a bit of a state when we went.. I am sure this isn't the same all the time as we went in 2016 too and they were clean and teeming with wildlife then. Definitely worth a visit and would recommend to anyone.

The falls were easy to get to and plenty of space for parking. Parking free as there is an entrance fee of £7.95 but we downloaded the 10% off voucher online which was good. Nice gift shop and picnic area as you go through. Walking up to the falls was really nice for the dogs and we had lots to see on the way up. Plenty of benches for rests. The steps as stated were rocks and could be a bit wobbly but with decent footwear no problem as long as you’re careful. Cafe menu was a bit limited not too much choice for fussy eaters and the snack cabin with sausage rolls was quite expensive but fine. Food Staff seemed quite new made a few mistakes overall food experience was average but there’s loads of benches if you want to take a picnic of your own. Lake walk and surrounding fields all brilliant for exercising the dogs and us ...and we had a very enjoyable day here!

A nice couple of hours out, easily walkable, very pretty waterfalls and doggy friendly too. Nice tea rooms to visit after walking round the falls.
