Spectacular waterfall and views from the top (Buzzards View). Took us about an hour to walk round the easy route with our 18 month old in a backpack. Backpacks are available to hire which proved necessary. Nice looking cafe and children's play area's to finish at.

We have been visiting Canonteign on and off for the last 20 years. It's so peaceful and beautiful. A perfect location. The woodland walk up to the Falls is very atmospheric with stunning views from the top of the Falls when you get there. A walk round the lake at the bottom of the Falls is a must - beautiful.

Away from the main area in a secluded area is a series of smaller lakes criss-crossed with small wooden bridges. Not too many people find this peaceful location so you can find yourselves the only ones there to enjoy the tranquility.

The restaurant serves great coffee and cakes and the patio offers great views again.

Canonteign is one of our most favourite places to visit.

10% discount voucher available on line but still an expensive place to visit. The climb to the waterfall would be difficult for those not used to climbing and sensible shoes are a must. Worth the climb if you are able but even so we felt it was expensive. A cost of £5 each would have been adequate.

We fell upon this attraction when I noticed it on groupon at a discount! I didn't know it was there until then and am I glad we found it! I am just about to sign up for another groupon deal as for a family of four it usually costs £24 but you can get entry for £10 with the voucher. It was lovely, and of course the weather was great aswell which always helps but as there is a lot of climbing maybe better when abit cooler!!!! They have a great café, childrens playground and assult course and to top it all lovely grounds and fun walk up to the top of the waterfall, the highest in England. Along the way you can read about the Victorian steps and all about the falls which is very interesting. Well worth a visit and we will be bringing our new puppy next time!

I'll keep this review brief and sum it up in 2 words - Rip off.

I paid £7.50 entry fee and walked the "red path" to the top of the waterfall. Yes, the scenery was pretty but was it worth the entry fee and 2 hour visit? Definitely not.
