I agree with bits of most of the reviews posted - the Hotel is well run, clean, quiet and deserving of it's gold award but Sidari is quite frankly a dump. We are a couple in our late 30's with a 10 year old son and wanted somewhere lively with lots of kids, which to be honest is what we got.

The room at the hotel was cleaned daily and as were at the back on the ground floor it was lovely and quiet. One critisism is the beds, which were like concrete. The staff are lovely and made a great fuss of our son, but I agree about the lack of variety in the menu. Breakfast got really boring with a choice of either greek yoghurt and honey(which was lovely), cornflakes with the milk already poured on or a croissant. This all came with chewy toast and tea or coffee. Evening meals were a little more exciting, but only just. I disagree with the comments about the quality of the food, which was very good and everything was more than edible, but it just lacked any variety. It was a choice of 4 starters, then 4 meat dishes, with veg, rice and a choice of potatoes.(It was smash if you asked for mash) and a large selection of sweets. I could not stay for 2 weeks as the food would eventually drive me to McDonalds!

Now to Sidari - If they cleaned up the resort's beach and common areas, it could be nice even if it is a litte too English for my taste. The sea is shallow and clear, but I was a little sceptical about some of the rubbish that was strewn along the beach and the Canal D'Amour did smell sometimes, but not all the time. There are ditches that run alongside the road coming away from the Hotel, which were filled with a green sludge - there were actually frogs and turtles living in there, but god knows how!

There are lots of bars and restaurants, but not too close to the hotel and what's wrong with choice? It's not cheap though.

One trip that we went on that I would recommend would be the Theo's BBQ Beach Boat Trip, which was great fun - the crew and Theo especially were fabulous and we all really enjoyed it. Couple of things to bear in mind though - the beach on the advert through Thomson's was not the beach we were taken to and it was not very nice, but the BBQ prepared by the crew was lovely. Also when we stopped to swim from the boat in a cove - the water had human waste floating in it and the back drop was a beach stacked high with all sorts of rubbish.

Overall - a good holiday, which was exactly what I expected - nothing more, nothing less.

well..where do i start! This was the best holiday ive been on. went wiv my mate jess and loads of the family. had a wicked time here, so much to do. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the beach and to all the nightlife, the nightlife there was really good! Good for both younger and older people. The hotel itself was really nice, staff were friendly and food was really nice! there is nothing bad to say about this hotel, so go there! best to go for 10 or more days. 7 days isn't enough. Definatly want to go back!!
