Spent a week at the Stema with family. Its a lovely relaxed, laid back resort with a lovely pool area, great staff and spacious apartments. Great for a chilled out holiday as thankfully there were no groups of young holidaymakers that I have come across in other resorts who think they can scream and shout and play loud music at the pool. This was a big bonus!! We only ate lunch at the bar two days and the food was good compared to other restaurants on the strip, where some of them, to put it mildy were dodgy... As everyone says definitely do the Greek night, its loads of fun and you cant help getting caught up in the fun!
On the negative side, there was a very bad musty smell from all the drawers and presses in the apartment, this was quite unacceptable and when I returned home I had to wash all clothes that were not worn. it did take from an otherwise excellent resort. Also beware of the mosquitos in Sidari.... they are really really bad and got badly bitten, it did take a lot from my Greek experience.

My Partner and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Stema Apartments! We loved every minute of it. Upon arrival we were greeted by Paula (who is lovely) she took us to our room which was an apartment (Room 142) it was huge and was very clean (the only downside was that the bed sheets never got changed during our whole stay and it gets hot!) Every single person who works at the apartments is lovely, they can't do enough for you. I am 4 and half months pregnant so wasn't able to drink, but like others have mentioned, the bar stays open until the last person leaves! One couple we met on holiday said that one evening the bar didn't shut until after 4am! you can't really hear the noise from the apartments though so that doesn't matter. The food is lovely, my partner and I tended to have a cheese and onion toastie daily, they were delicious!

the complex is more suited to couples and families, half way through our first week a group of girls arrived who i think must have got lost on their way to Kavos! Which was a shame as they disrupted the peacefulness around the pool, lots of other couples we met had said the same thing, but they left after a week and it went back to being nice for couples and children again.

The strip is only about a 7-10 minute walk away, but there are restaurants along the way. We found that we ended up sticking to the same three restaurants in the end, Memories being the best then Greek Village followed by a steak house restaurant towards the end of the strip. They were all very good value for money and tasty! Be sure to try a Gyros whilst you are out there, my partner says they are the best fast food ever and very good value and actually healthy for fast food!

Be sure to take a walk to Canal d'amour Beach, its lovely there, lots of rocks to climb and sections of secluded beach where the sea is generally nicer than the beaches nearer to the hotel, seems to be clearer waters. It is quite a trek but well worth a visit.

The pool at the hotel can be cold first thing, but as the sun beats down on it, it heats up and its very refreshing to get into as the sun gets very hot between 12-4pm!

People return to this hotel year after year and we can see why, this would be a great place to return once we have had the baby, there were lots of couples there with children from as young as 11 months and the staff are very accommodating with this!

We both came back feeling very relaxed and happy, the whole trip went smoothly from start to finish and we will definitely return once the baby is born and is a bit older!

Definitely worth a visit!

Room Tip: Apartments are huge, definitely worth it if you have children. Higher floors are better as cats roa...

Just arrived back after two weeks at the Stema, excellent holiday, Paula, Costas, Kostas and everyone else were just great, couldn't do enough for us. Some people we met have been going there year after year for many years and I can undersatnd why. The food was excellent and the bar stayed open till the last person left. Great place and would definately return.

Perfect location, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. What more can you ask for? The bar stayed open until the last person left and I have never received so many free drinks or experienced such hospitality! Despite this, if you wanted a peaceful night, you could easily sleep as the bar couldn't be heard from the rooms. All the staff are absolutely wonderful people and feel like family after a few days. Every one should make an effort to go to the Greek night as it is amazing and hilarious, you'll love it. Looking to return next year for definite!

Room Tip: You don't need to buy A/C as the rooms stay cool.

We stayed at the Stema in August 2012 and it has to be one of the cleanest apartments we have ever stayed in. The pool was a very big size and there where always sunbeds free, the food was very good and the service even better! This place is definitely value for money. We have read reviews for the BBQ night and regret not going but will give it a go this year for sure!

Room Tip: Any room would be perfect.
