stayed at the monosa in 2008 with our grandson who was 6yrs he had such a great time that we went back this year the holiday was great and he enjoyed himself once again the staff at the minosa are great and go all out to make your holiday great and relaxing but must say that the hotel needs a makeover found the standards this year poor so please minosa do some work and make it worth while going back.

we have just returned from mimosa hotel, we went with mixed thoughts after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised, yes the room wasnt very big and the bathroom very very basic but we didnt stay in our room much the air conditioning was good and only cost 70 euros for 2 weeks which was well worth it! the meals were really good for the price and always something on the menu that i liked (and i am a very fussy eater and like plain meals) waiters very pleasant and efficient, cleaner was so happy and always said hello when she saw you on a morning, plenty of clean towels and loo roll!!! also beds changed loads of times. room cleaned every day. i would definately go there again, also reception staff very helpful too!!

Rooms are like a prison cell. Just blank walls except for dead bugs splattered all over them which have obviously never been cleaned by the cleaners ( you get charged 15euros for safe for the wk and 45 euros for the air conditioning) . Hotel is very shabby and run down. Pools are tiny and not enough room to sunbathe, everyone is on top of each other, (pool to the rear of hotel is slightly quieter). staff are rude, reception staff are english but make no effort to be polite or helpful. bar staff expect tips with every drink they serve you.Food at the hotel is appauling i wouldnt even serve it to my dog. we went half board and ate out 6 nights of our 1 week holiday. breakfast is disgusting too. dont go here expecting a relaxing enjoyable holiday, noise is unbearable.. my partner and i are in out late 20's and we struggled to sleep..noise going on until 5am every morning.. (except sundays). the resort is like a club 18-30 definately not what id recommend for couples or families...u get hounded walking down the strip where the bars/restaurants are with young girls and men trying to haggle you into them.

a hotel and resort i would definately not recommend or ever return to!!!
stay away.

Bit of a trek from the airport but arrived eventually to be welcomed very warmly by the owner. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was basic but very clean with fresh towels and bedding provided. Lovely grounds and pool.Only downside is the local boys on there mopeds with loud exhausts all evening but im from london so it was a step up.My 3 year old boy loved it plenty of kid friendly restaurants/ bars. The hotel itself had great entertainment every evening. Close to beach, although beach in agios stefanos is much better with better weather (only 10 min drive away). I would recommend it for what it is- a cheap holiday that satisfies with lovely weather, if your a 5star seeker then its not for you. I am booked to go back with my family in 2010 as i liked the island that much.

most of the time me and my partner stayed around the pool, the staff in the pool bar during the day were friendly but this was a different story at night as i found the staff to be ignorant, but feel drinks in the evening were very competable with price.

we were half board so breakfast and evening meal was included, breakfast was very basis and not what i expected and the evening meal was absolutly not edable.

we feel the hygiene within our room was not up to expectations and our flush didn't work that often, the shower and the toilet seat had seen better days and should have been replaced years ago.

There was the same old entertainment repeated every so often during our 2 week stay and feel this could be improved on.

unless the standards change its not somewhere we would think of returning to in the future and wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone else.

Service was OK, greek and english girl in lobby did the job properly, waiters fast and smiley , cleaning ladies OK, location: noisy, bar possibly the most expensive in area,
rooms very basic ( flushing toilet was a joke , no frigde, no nothing ), far below expectations and not worth money we spent, dinners ok, breakfasts lousy ( warm orange juice mix with water, making sick joghurt, something called coffee and other surprizes ), AC working OK, restaurant toilets were scary but not dirty. Finaly : I will not recommend this place to anyone I know. Sorry.

where do i start!! we had the bad fortune of staying in this hotel for our honeymoon, which scarred the memory for life,on arrival we checked in fine and were given room 315 (which i warn you is the broom cupboard!) it had plaster missing from the walls, the sheets were stained, there was chewing gum on the floor by the bed,the toilet was right next to the bed,(which unless you shut the lid down all you smell is poo from the bad drainage in greece) and there was no where to get ready ie;do your make up etc,the balcony was overlooking a building site,so rather unhappy at the prospect of staying in this hellish room for the week on my honeymoon we went down and spoke to the reeptionist and explained the problem, they were polite and offered us another room, which hadnt yet been cleaned from the last guests,so we had to wait half hour for it to be cleaned whilst we sat in the bar, once ready we went in and clean was not what it was!,i have taken pictures of the main areas of concern ie;blood stained sheets, old rusty hair slide in shower tray, squashed mosquitos on walls, and so on.ratha than spend my honeymoon complaining we decided to just get on with it,so we went down for dinner....then the real problems started! swordfish, raw roast chicken(mine was bloody in the middle!) soup everyday, steak in a different sauce everyday and all other greek or german dishes, nothing for english and certainly not kids! we were given a bead basket with 2stale cobs in and i had to take a pic of this as noone would have believed it how mouldy and filthy the said basket was...black!!! so up to our room we went and tryed to switch on air con, nothing,so my hubby went down to tell reception it wasnt working and i quote the responce he got "if you want air con you gotta pay 45 euros" he was dumbstruck! as in greece you are told not to leave doors or windows open as you will be eaten alive by mosquitos so whats the alternative? pay to breath! this was not stated in the brochure! normally we wouldnt moan but this hotel is a disgrace, the restaurant part is filthy, the staff are rude and too busy drinking slyly behind the bar to give a toss about guests,oh and if you want a cooked breakfast think again ...you have to pay for that too! oh yes, breakfast not as you know it,just toast cereal and rock hard scrambled egg is included in the price of your wonderful stay at the crap hole mimosa hotel! we read the reviews before we went and they all have mirrored what we experienced so ignore this at your peril !!!
