We are a group of 6 elderly people. The location of the hotel was perfect. Straight across from the beach and just out side the main strip. The hotel staff Anna,Tracy at reception. Tom,Andreas ,George and Chris the rep were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast did not suit everyone but personally I like my cereals and then toast etc. The meals at night very good and well presented. The drinks were good value. There was entertainment every night and very good acts.
The town consisted of one main street and had everything you could want. At night the hotels and bars all had entertainment.Mostly tribute acts and they were all very good.
The were a couple of coach companies offering various trips. We went with VLASEROS travel and were delighted with the service and locations.
The beach was clean and the water shallow. If you bought a drink at one of the many bars you got the sun-loungers and parasols free.We had a great time ,out every day and entertained every night.
I would recommend the resort and hotel, especially for its location to the beach and town.
We all got rooms at the rear of the hotel and got the sun from sunrise to sunset every night and
avoided the noise from the town at night.

Room Tip: rooms at the rear on top floor have sun all day, nice views and do not get the street noise at night.

Having lived in Corfu for ten years I had the unexpected pleasure of returning to the island as a tourist and stayed in the Mimosa Hotel. This was the first time I had entered its doors. I was very pleasantly surprised. Lovely relaxing areas both outside and inside and virtually direct access to the beach. The room was spacious, very well furnished, cleaned daily as was bathroom. TV, AC, Tea/Coffee making facilities etc were included in my half board package-which I might add was a lot cheaper than my flight! Dinner was really lovely, breakfast adequate(for those moaners!the greeks lean towards a more continental style breakfast, if you want a full fry up its available in english cafes/restaurants along the main strip). The staff -Anna Tracy Red Vicki Andreas to name a few, were very hard working smiling pleasant and professional at all times. The waiters and cleaner too worked very hard long hours and always remained helpful and pleasant. All in all I thought this hotel great value for money. I would certainly stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommending it. It is not the Ritz Carlton but then again we are not paying Ritz Carlton prices!!! Oh Yes the ants! are always a problem in mediterranean countries, they do tend to have sporadic appearances but the staff in these places are experienced in dealing with and prevention of same. What we as tourists forget is that if we spill or leave any sugary food or drink content it will attract them and they do tend to arrive in armies, military style. A little communication goes a long way in resolving this issue quickly. The Greek and English workers in these resorts work very hard, long hours at making our holday enjoyable and comfortable. From what I can see they accept and act on constructive criticism when relevant. The deserve kudos for this. They deserve your custom. Go there and enjoy.

I have just returned from a week at hotel mimosa with my boyfriend. We had an amazing time and can't complain about anything. We only paid £689 for 1 week half board. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel was a stones throw away from the beach. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Our room (102) was clean and tidy and spacious, we had a balcony with pool view, ground floor. Food was ok, depends on individual tastes. The bar staff/waiters were hilarious and never failed to make us smile, miss them already =) Hotel entertainment is very entertaining lol, Tom the entertainment rep is brilliant and always smiling, will miss watching him chasing his mates round with flip flops and water =D the hotel is right on the strip where there is all the usual pubs clubs bars shops restaurants etc. Definatley go on the Odysseus boat trip! All in all I had a great time and can't wait to book to go back next year!!

See you all in September 2013 Mimosa staff!

I stayed at this hotel from 17th sept Untill 24th sept. sidari is a nice place. Good nightlife, nice beach. But the hotel was covered in ants. All down the side of the bed. In the bathroom. Everywhere. Breakfast was ridiculous. No full English or nice food. Just toast and either beans or tomatoes every morning. I did enjoy dinner. There was more available for tea. Lamb, pork etc. I stayed at this hotel with my friend (age 24, me aged 24) and my mum who's just celebrated her 50th. Not the best of food or the cleanest hotel. Staff rude. Wouldn't stay again but I would go back to sidari. Don't let my review put you off. Just telling truth. Meals ok but breakfast rubbish. Pools are nice and they do get cleaned out. Transfer from airport takes 2 hours and that was a nightmare.

Just like others, we'd read the reviews before arriving at the Mimosa and had expected the hotel to be rubbish! HOW WRONG WERE WE? Upon arrival we were in our room within minutes! The rooms are very basic but if your using it just for a shower and somewhere to put your head at night then youll love it, if your expecting a 5* hotel room for the price of a 2* then your going to be let down :) the only problem we had with the room is the flys which flew in when the maid left the bathroom window open when cleaning it but with a little spray, they were easy to get rid of so not a big problem. The receptionists were always lovely and helpful towards us and the gentlemen in the restaurant were always kind even though we didnt go to the restaurant much. The food wasnt for us but thats because we are very fussy eaters and there was only a few meals that looked appertising to us but thats our own fault and not the hotels. The swimming pools were both clean and very enjoyable. I would reccomend the pool behind the hotel which we didnt know existed until 4 days into our holiday but it was the most relaxing. The hotel is in the best location compared to other hotels with the beach on your doorstep and the main strip to the right of it! I would reccomend this hotel to anybody and we will definitely be returning as the price we paid for half board here is cheaper than self-catering in other hotels around the resort. A big thanks to all the receptionists and waiters and hopefully see you soon. All our love Dean & Terri September 2012.

Room Tip: If your looking for a beach view, ask for the front block, if your not fussed like us then no need.

Ignore the grumps who can't find a nice thing to say about this hotel. We stayed here a week. The staff were wonderful, Anna. Tracy, George to name but a few. We did have an issue with a very noisy room at the start of the week but Anna managed to sort another room out (room 105 is a bad room so avoid!). The staff were great wuth their advice when I needed medical attention ... Beware the Mosquitos are everywhere here and will eat you alive so be prepared!! The food was good, can't imagine what people have been complaining about!! A wysiwyg hotel ... No frills or fancies but good staff who are there to help you! The back of the hotel is quieter if you are looking for a quieter room try there. Don't let the bad comments out you off this friendly hotel.
