The accommodation is basic, but there aren't many apartments to sleep a family of five, and Kousaros offers two apartments that do. The pool is large and clean and it has a slide, there is also a bar serving drinks and snacks etc, however you are only self catering so you have the choice to eat and drink where ever. Kousaros is ideally located to numerous bars and restaurants, as well as supermarkets selling English foods and even nappies if you need them. Both Sidari main beach and Canal D'amour are only five minutes walk. There are also lots of souvenir shops nearby, maybe a bit tacky but it keeps our three kids amused. There are also quite a few restaurants that offer a play area, which keeps the kids amused. Anyway back t Kousaros, if you are looking for a well located self catering holiday with pool, then you can't really go wrong.

Please ignore previous comments made about these apartments as they are far from reality!! I have stayed in these apartments year after year and have had no problems. The staff Manos and Kostas are fantastic and will do anything to please. They are extremely welcoming and accomodating and are anything but fickle. The apartments are very clean and spacious. The bathrooms are always kept clean slightly basic but thats what you expect from Greece. The sheets are changed regularly and so are the towels and are always pristine. Overall I think that the property is excellent value for money considering the property is a 3*. The rooms have plenty of storage facilities and a good sized kitchen area. I have always been able to keep my room on if we had a late flight or we would be moved to another room for the evening of ours was taken. The pool area is well kept with the cleaners tending to it from 6am. The pool bar serves good, homemade, Greek food and the prices are also good. I would definately recommend the weekly Greek night, great fun with traditional Corfiot dancing and a homemade barbarque. The apartments are situated in a perfect location, under a 5 minute walk to the beach and the centre of sidari with its many restaurants and bars. However, it is set back off the main strip and so there is no noise at night time. Canal d'amour beach is also very close which I believe is the best beach. Would definately recommend to a friend and so would many other people as their guest book shows many repeat customers.

The apartments are in very poor condition. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms are extremely basic. There is no storage space apart from a very old smelly wardrobe.

We noticed on arrival some dents in the bathroom door but as it was in a similar state to the rest of the apartment, did not report it at the time.
We were accused a few days later of causing the damage and because we denied it were told we had to pay 100 Euros and were not welcome anymore.
We had to pay 400 Euros extra to get a decent apartment elsewhere in Sidari.

The local people told us later that the management are extermely lets say fickle.

My advice is find somewhere else and save yourself the problems and stress we had.

I stopped at the Koursaros apartments with my boyfriend in June 2006. The apartments are basic but they are very clean and tidy and for the price we paid as we got a last minute deal we were satisfied with them! There is a small kitchen area and then the bedrooms which have twin beds in them. The one downside was that they did not have air conditioning and while we there it got up to 35 degrees C in the day and it was still very warm at night - they did give us fans but it still felt very hot at night!

The pool area is nice, its quite small but it was big enough for us as we did not spend every day by the pool as we tended to go out on trips or to the beach quite a bit. The bar was always open and the people that worked there were very friendly.

Location wise, it's excellent - it's less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and all the bars - so its close enough to be convenient but far enough away to not hear any noise from the bars at night!

Further to the previous reviews, we booked both our day trips (to the Waterpark in the centre of the island, which I'd fully recommend - and also a day trip to two small islands off the coast of corfu, again recommended) with the shop in Sidari town and we had absolutely no problems at all - it was loads cheaper than the tour operator and ours all seemed very well organised with no hitches.

Sidari was a perfect place if you want somewhere with a decent nightlife but you don't want all the 18-30 crowd. There was a big mixture of people from couples and families to small groups of girls and guys. Overall I'd definitely recommend Sidari as a holiday destination!

Booked holiday for myself and partner through on the beach holidays, when booking the holiday it said that the tranfers were included , so after we paid for the holiday it stated that the tranfers were then to be paid for, rang on the beach they said that this could not have been the case!!!
Arrived at apartments at 2 in the morning, greeted by the manager, who took us to our room, asked him then if it was possible to keep room on and pay extra on our last day as were not getting picked up for the airport until late on the last night, he said that we couldn't as the apartments would be full and we would have to vacate the room at 12. Apartment was big, first thing i noticed was the ants that were near the bathroom door, loads of them looked like a nest!! they were also all over the bathroom aswell!!! tided them up as much as i could then got a few hours sleep. Next morning realised how dirty the room was, sheets and pillows had stains all over them in both rooms, tried to find two that didnt. chairs had cobwebs around them also. The kitchen was basic with a hob, kettle and grill, the table we had to eat on was also covered in ants when i put a bottle of pop on it!!!
Our balcony was really big, we were on bottom floor so it was bigger than the rest. As the manager said that there was no other rooms didnt waste my time asking to be moved, the cleaner came in the third day, i was hoping that something would be done when we were out about the ants , when we got back they were gone so they were obviously aware of the problem, 2 hours later they were back again all over the bathroom!!! We were given no fresh towels or sheets, we had one toilet roll to last the week so had to buy some.
Best part about the apartments was the pool, it was really clean and there was never loads of people around it so you could relax.
The apartments are near to the shops bars etc, but not right on the main strip which is good, 2 min walk away. The resort was nice, loads of bars, restaurants, shops. Fave restaurant was the mexicans!!! recommend it.
Beach was also nice, didnt try the sea though as there was a lot of seaweed.
To drink round the apartment pool was expensive, it was 2Euros for can of pop even though it had 39p on the can!!!! so it was working out nearly four pounds for 2cans!!!
The day before we left we asked again about keeping the room on or just somewhere to shower, the manager told us no to keeping the room on and that the cleaners would be coming in at 12 and to ask him the day we left about getting a shower somewhere. We got out the room at 12 on the last day and just lay around the pool all day, by 7.0.clock at night nobody had been into the room, we could see in as it was on the ground floor, cleaner went in around 8.30ish and hung some knickers and socks on the line outside the balcony!!! we were really annoyed as he made out that there was people coming in to stay there, we only stayed there 6 days really out of a 7 day holiday, we had to ask 3 times for a shower and to get changed somewhere, then at 7 he gave us a key to another apartment which was in a worse state than ours!!! we waited for the bus to pick us up for the airport and saw people coming out there rooms with suitcases at 10 at night!!! we can only put it down to the fact that we hardly spent any money there for drinks or food like a lot of eople did, some people sat there all day!!! think he was being a bit awkward!!
Overall liked sidari, would go back, would never go back to those aprtments , you kind of know what to expect when you go to greece but an ant nest and cobwebs and dirty sheets isnt good enough!!!
If it is a special holiday like a honeymoon or anniversary would def not stay there i would be disapointed if it was something like that.
