We spent a week here mid september with 2 teenagers and we knew it was a 20 minute week into town from the reviews. We do alot of walking anyway but this was too far for us. It was 20 minute walk to town but only to the edge of the town. You then had a further 15 to 20 minutes to the beach and main centre which was too far especially in the heat wave they were experiencing in September. The bar was lovely and the food fantastic, although I do wonder about the cleanliness now I am home and my following comments will enlighten you as to why. Disappointed the apartment for 2 to 6 didnt include a living space which I thought an apartment would. We had 2 bedrooms and a kitchen (pity a 6th person having to sleep on the pull out single chair in the kitchen. Air conditioning was 35 euros per unit, so if you wanted both bedrooms having air it would be 70 euros. HOWEVER, my main concern is the last day. We were out of our apartment no 7 by midday as requested and sat at the pool opposite the block we stayed in at the pool side. The owner and cleaner opened the balcony doors of those apartments just vacated (3 that we could see) and proceeded to strip the beds. They hung the bedspreads on the balcony, then proceeded to remove the sheets. They left the towelling mattress protectors on and put on clean sheets. THEY THEN PUT THE SAME DIRTY BED SPREADS ON TOP OF ALL THE BEDS HAVING ONLY AIRED THEM. GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT BODILY FLUIDS, SWEAT, DIRT ETC was on those bedspreads. I am thoroughly disgusted and will never stay here again. I still cannot belive what I and my partner saw with our own eyes.

Spent a lovely week at the Marianna at the end of August 2011. Its a lovely place to stay.
We were a family of three (child of 12) who had booked an allocation on arrival holiday, i have to say that we weren't disappointed. We arrived at nearly 3 in the morning and were lucky to find that there were still people at the bar. We bought a much needed drink and 6 bottles of water.
The staff here are so friendly Stefanos, Spiros and family made us feel very welcome.
These apartments are out of the way of the resort but i suppose it depends what you want from a holiday...a taxi to the resort centre was 6 euros but was worth every cent as it was a long walk in the heat of the day and a bit dodgy after dark as it was rural so no street lighting, i would recommend that you factor this into your spending money - the hotel staff will call you a taxi without a problem and it always arrives in a few minutes!
The staff kept the bar area clean and tidy and always were friendly and helpful!
We stayed in apartment 15 which is a distance away from the pool and bar...this was actually a godsend as it was far away that the music that was played in the bar wasn't heard but was only a 100 yards or so walk. The advantage of staying in room 15 was also that there was an apple tree outside our room which blocked out the day heat so we didn't have to pay the 25 euro's for the air conditioning!
The cost of the safe was safe was 10 euros for the week was was very cheap but wasnt really needed as we did feel these apartments were safe.
The one nightmare of the holiday was the transfers...it was over two hours and we stopped at Paleokastrista..this made the journey a bit of a nightmare...if we went back to Corfu we would definately opt for taxi transfers!
Overall the marianna apartments would be highly recommended by our family and we would definately return.
Oh one last thing, we went to the supermarket to buy a bottle of vodka and nearly collapsed at the price...it was 29 euros for a litre of smirnoff...we could have bought 2 one litre bottles at Manchester airport for £18 but thought that it would be cheaper in resort...how foolish were we!

Went to marianaa apartments at the begining of July, the apartments were very clean and well kept. The sourroundings and the pool were very well maintained and very pretty. Staff at the hotel worked exstremely hard day and night and were also very friendly and helpful. It is in a more peacful part of sidari but the hotel bar is reasonable and the bar staff make your time there enjoyable. If you go into the centre in a taxi it is around 5 euros and very quick, its around 20 minuts walk through the day when its hot, but you can do it in 15 when its cooler at night. The place catred for everyone , i went with my boyfriend and another couple we are all 18-19 years old, there was other younge groups, families with children and adults, either way it was suitible for everyone. I would reccomend these apartments too anyone who wants a peacfull holiday with lively bars in easy reach, after midnight sidari centre is very lively and opens all night.Very polite staff and wonderful resort.
I would reccomend you eat at the hotel bar and also around 10-15 mins away is a brillaint bar/ restrant called billys bar.. brilliant food and friendly staff.

I stayed at marianna's from 8th-15th July 2011 with a friend. We arrived at 6 AM so there were not many people about but we were shown to our room by our rep.

On first impression i though it looked adorable and very neat.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS.

The rooms are basic but very clean, we had a kitchen which contained a kettle, an oven with a hob, dinner table, plates, cups and forks etc. You will not be able to cook a gourmet meal in the single oven but the food is reasonably priced at the pool bar and in the restaurants in the town.
The kitchen and bathroom may not appear extremely modern but they are very well looked after and are in perfect working order. in my opinion the rooms are spacious, they have twin beds and a sofa bed built in wardrobe, plug sockets and a mirror... we spent hardly any time in the room so needed nothing else. There is a safety deposit safe in the room but i didn't use it and our belongings were fine. All the rooms had a balcony which was nice to sit on in the evenings.

The pool area is extremely clean, surrounding the pool are the sunloungers with parasoles. These were ll in excellent condition and there were pleanty of them. The pool was lovely, not the biggest pool in the world but pleanty big enough for the amount of people staying. it went from 0.6m deep to 2.6m (i think) witha small separate toddler area . In the evenings the bar staff would light tea lights and float them on the top, it looked really pretty.

The bar is located right next to the pool, this has a range of drinks on the menu from juices to hot drinks to cocktails and milkshakes as well as food. Drinks ranged from 1.5 euros to 5 euros, the food was cooked fresh and was always very hot and lovely. PIzza cost about 5 euros for a whole pizza (9 inch i think). In the evening the bar area would play music, this covered every type of music possible and we even requested what songs we wanted. There is also a pool table and a tv. The bar opened early and closed late.

This place is very relaxed and there was a range of people when we were staying who all seemed to enjoy it.

The grounds surrounding the apartments/pool/bar are maintained very well, during our week stay we saw them mowing the lawns and strimming and making sure the area was generally clean and tidy. The apartments are located amongst lush greenery and there is a lot of grass.

We had an amazing week and this was mainly due to the excellent staff at the apartments, due to the fact that there are not too many rooms the staff get to know the people who are staying and will do all that they can to make the stay a great one. There are not many staff as this is family run, but they always seem to be at work and work very hard too. They were always happy and seemed very relaxed.

The apartment are an easy 20 mins walk to sidari town where you will find shops, beach, bars, resturants, money exchange etc. On other reviews i read that it is too dangerous to walk back at night, we walked back a couple of times in the evening an although a torch might have been handy just in case, there are street lights the whole way and the road was very quiet. There are no pavements and you might come across the odd loony motorcyclist without a helmet, but thats it.

At night time is was still quit hot, i would recommend getting the air conditioning so that you can close the windows as we didn't and due to the green surroundings we got a couple of bites from mosquitos. (air con extra charge about 40euros for the week)

This place although is very chilled out and relaxing is good fun and friendly too. It is not hustle and bustle busy but is not too far away if that is what you want.

I would recommend this to anyone

i cannot upload photo's but if you type the apartment name into a search engine images it's the pink property which looks like a barbie house. The pictures do it no justice.

Room Tip: three block of rooms each overlooking different area's, the pool view is best in my opinion but...

We spent a week at marianna's and what a lovely week it was!! Stefanos and his brothers are lovely and will do anything to help you.. eg while we were there there was a taxi strike and they gave us a lift into sidari centre.
The apartments are lovely and clean and ours for our family of 3 was HUGE!! We were given a masionette. It was located just behind the pool and bar which was ideal. The gardens and childrens playground at the Mariannas was lovely.
The location from Sidari is a good 20 min walk away a taxi is reccommended for coming home at night as it is very dark and the traffic is quite fast on the windy roads plus there are no paths!
The shop is about 5 mins away and is really reasonably priced and sells about everything.

Rooms were cleaned 3 times per week and sheets/towels changed, room was modern and spacious, with kitchen etc
They are located approx 25 min walk from the main part of Sidari - walk is downhill but may want to get a taxi back! Loved pool and the bar/restaurant is modern
Spiros and Stefanos were really helpful - nothing was too much trouble; pool nice and clean and around the pool area was always tidy
Only downside was its a 2 hour transfer from the airport........... (cant have it al!)

After reading reviews about the marinna and its location they were all correct, it is a good 25 min walk to the centre or beach, but at least its a flat walk no hills. At night if you walk back torches are a must not just to see where you`re going, there are some large drops one side of the road and no paths, but to also warn drivers that you are there and they can come around pretty fast. There are stray dogs but they seem more interested in chasing scooters and bikes rather than pestering people. The rooms themselves are quite spacious especially the duplex ones.We stayed in a block at the back of the property and not near the pool, and in a lower floor room. The sheets were changed fairly regularly but the towels only once in 2 weeks! The room was basic but was smelly and when you opened any of the kitchen unit doors the smell was awful. . .MOULD, we spent as little time in there as possible. The wardrobe had no coat hangers so take your own and the light in the small shower room (no bath) didn`t work. Also only 1 loo roll was provided the whole 2 weeks if you wanted more they charged 1 euro for 1 roll . . rip off! no toaster or hair dryer was provided as described but we take our own anyway. The shower was broken as was the glass shelf in the shower room and the mini oven was filthy. The pool area was good with grass all around and the bar food was decent with average prices but the beer was 3.50 euros the most expensive pint in sidari possibly because you`re isolated with no other choice, when speaking to locals in bars/restaurants they commented that "that is disrespectful " and not to pay that, but the icescreams were lovely and cheap.
The pool itself was pretty small but big enough as there aren`t that many people there, but the water turns some white clothing green and 2 natural blonde boys hair also went slightly green, obviously the chemicals in the pool had done this but they never seemed to make the water clear as it was always murky. The pool table was furry and should have been free or thrown away! they charged for the internet but wifi was free. Also depending who served you at the bar depended on whether you paid the right price or MORE beware! Over all the property could do with better maintanance and better cleaning with the lower floors being ridden of mould as upon returning home my wife contracted a chest infection.
Overall we had a great holiday with the beach and the sea around the canal d`mor the best areas to be, lots of sand stone coves, shallow waters and freindly locals.
We have to give a large thanks to spiros and george at the MYTHOS restaurant for their great home cooked food massive portions and their hospitality very friendly very good prices, if you go and see kleftico on the special board give it a try you will not be disappointed its huge, tasty and unlike any kleftico you`ve had before.
