I really wanted to like this hotel, as the staff were efficient and friendly. We chose Greece to support the economy as we knew they had fallen on hard times. For our 1 week stay, we booked a twin room of which we ended up with two rooms, so this was a bonus. Rooms were clean and spacious with a large hallway. We could not find the remote for the TV and later found that you have to deposit 10Euros which is refundable on exit.
Firstly the food. I've had much better on an all-inclusive. Much of the food was processed which gave you the impression that they were trying to squeeze as much money out of you. The hotel was a little dated, it needed much restoration around the lounge area's much of the paintwork was peeling and the facilities for kids was outdated. The all-inclusive bar was hit and miss. There were different times for different drinks. The Saxophone bar was ok, enough entertainment to keep you occupied. The staff on the whole complex were lovely and very helpful throughout the week, however, we don't think we got value for our money.

We're came to stay at hotel of a family of 7.. We had 2 room one was ok but my mums room she was un able to stay in so after going to reception and after heated row with a very rude manger she was moved. On our first night our door lock was hard to lock in the end the key snapped in the lock I went to reception to report this and was spoken to badly. Our door lock was changed. Around 10pm we went to lock up but we couldn't lock the door so having 3 children in a room I had to leave my door unlock as no one was about to report it to. We had to put suitcases up against the door. First thing nxt morning I went to complain and was spoken again badly .After this no one spoke to us and was made to feel uncomfortable ..the only lady who said morning was the blonde lady in restaurant very nice lady..As for the hotel being all inc well u had to pay for most of ur drinks and the food was shocking breakfast was cold lunch wasn't as bad and dinner was ok if u like pizza and chips.. Ice cream was only at set times unless u paided for. If you think u will have entertainment in the day your wrong we only see any sort on the last day think was to show there faces! Evening was ok made a bit more effort but still nothing great. On the last night we was told they was having a shut down party no the staff was having a party they just stood around at the bar getting drunk reading out the quiz forgetting wot numbers they was on cuz was to drunk. You come away on holiday to chill out but breakfast closes by 930am. Our fridge was leaking . After 6pm you can't get a drink unless you walk to the other bar down the road.. At night you have no lights walking back to your room . My bathroom had a smell to it and broken toilet seat.. No shower mat so was unsafe. The pipes were blocked so had dirty water coming threw the bathroom floor. The Mattress had stains all over it ..We see no kid club staff all holiday . We was told many times it's the end of season so they didn't care about our stay there..For the good points if you leave the hotel there is lovely bars and friendly staff.when booking this holiday we was told by Thompson it's a 4 star hotel to then be told it's a 2 star wot ever star it was manners cost nothing and that is something this hotel lacks in. We spoke to many other people at the hotel and they share the view as is! We will be contacting Thomson when we fly home and getting this matter sorted... Please if your booking this hotel please rethink . As Sidari as a town is lovely and friendly.

Just got back from here , truly a holiday from hell.3 days of horrendous noise from building work.everything was in disrepair, even the mozzie screen had a rip in it so we were eaten alive. thousands of wasps everywhere and the seating in the pool area was stained and filthy.the food was horrible, all i can say is avoid this hotel.

Food leaves a lot to be desired. We're all inc but have had to eat out every day.
No hot water for 3 days .... still no hot water for the sink. Been threatened by man above as he was drunk and had to call security .,, still no apology from hotel. Little girl next door sliced foot open on glass In the pool, so can't go swimming. Kids club, although the girls are fab with the kids , very little to do and catered only fir very young ones Even though it says Upto 11 yr old. Management don't seem bothered by any complaint ( and believe me they've had a lot ). I was laughed at by manger when I told them I had still had no hot water in sink. Pregnant lady bit into chicken which turned out to be completely raw. Rooms very dated, would t even give them a basic rating. Nothing to do in the area if you have children ( unless you pay fir trips out of the area which average €15-20 fir adult and €8-12 kids. ) pool water is freezing cold. Have spoken to many many guests and yet to find one satisfied guest. Most can't wait to get home. In fact one has actually asked to go home. I'm
A well travelled person and have to say this had to be the worst hotel/holiday I've stayed in/had ..... ever, in every aspect. Thomson/First choice has certainly let its standards down with this one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spent a week at The Zafiris in the middle of September. We read the reviews good and bad beforehand,so i booked it.We were'nt expecting the Ritz, but according to trip advisor it was ok.
We were dropped off at the bottom of a steep hill, simply because the coach couldn't get any closer to the hotel. Our cases were taken away by a member of staff and at reception we were allocated our rooms.
The Staff were helpful and friendly with a smile even though the lads at the pool bar where unindated with wasps......
The Room.
We were amazed at the size of the room downstairs but it was for four people so fantastic for two. A circular staircase took you upstairs to a bathroom with shower, bath and toilet.
The bedroom was light and airy with two single beds with a "topper" to make it a double. And it was very comfortable too.Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and fresh sheets too.
The hotel grounds were very tidy with plenty of bins to throw the rubbish and plastic cups in. The pool was good but a tad chilly but ok once you were in(maybe due to the hot weather at the time) No problems getting a lounger although the parasols were in short supply. The hotel and grounds were looking a little tired, but as it was coming to the end of the season i expected it to be.There is a viewing point at the top of the hill looking out to sea but if you're looking for a beach its best to wander up the road into Sadari
Always a bit hit and miss at smaller hotels where they try and cater for every taste.
Here the choice was limited but what they created with pork, beef, chicken and fish were absolutely delicious!!! a choice of rice, pasta and veg was available too. The freshly baked bread was worth a mention too!!
Local beer, vodka rum and brandy was on tap with the local fizzy drinks too,but you could buy premium brands if you wanted. tea and coffee were available at the pool bar too.
Value for money? Yes but don't expect 5 star for a cheap holiday,
Would i return maybe but i would say go if you are looking for a cheap but cheerful holiday.
