these are lovely aptartments, basic but clean, the owners are very friendly and helpfull, we had wonderful views from our room 402, sea and pool view. the room was very large, very basic kitchen only really for making snacks. small bathroom, towels changed twice a week( would of liked this done abit more often) linen once a week. its very peaceful sat round the pool, not really aplace for children, more for adults. its only a 5min walk down hill into kassiopi, so very good location, there is a very steep hill going up to the appartments!!! you need to be good health to cope with this in the heat. resataurants i would reccomend are petrinos on the harbour, and dons bar, never ate anywhere else after a dissapointing first week trying other restaurants out. mac macs is an excellant bar, cheapest and best bar in kassiopi.

Room Tip: 402 twin room, good views, and larger than some of the other rooms. sunny in the mornings

Just back from a week in this stunning location and can't wait to go back! 2 days in and we were so relaxed we couldn't remember how long we had been there!

Twin room with sea views, basic cooking facilities but as we never stayed in that didn't matter, very clean and spacious so no complaints. Rooms cleaned 6 times, towels and bedding changed once in the week we stayed. Air con was gratefully booked for 35 euros and a safe was 7. Pool area with beautiful views as elevated, snack bar serving from morning till about 7pm so no drinks after dinner but this didn't bother us - I made sangria in a saucepan! All staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble they even said a proper goodbye when we left. Actually all guests were really friendly as well and we made some lovely friends during the week. Nothing for kids other than small childrens pool and free wi fi so you may find more suited to couples, friends or families with older children.
Now for the hill which many others have commented on. It is steep but short, proper effort involved when you arrive dragging your suitcase behind you but is so worth it for the views over Kassiopi and the harbour. If you have walking difficulties this may not be for you but if you like a challenge (my friend tried to run up it on the last day) and maybe burning a few calories after dinner then it is not a problem at all.
Tip - Lofos will sell you 6 bottles of water for 2 euros so you don't have to give yourself a hernia carrying them to your room.
Many tavernas and bars in the town, few 'English' type but not those with flashing neon and beer drinking competions. We never had a bad meal so you can eat out somewhere different every night. The harbour is stunning - would advise a cocktail early evening before it gets dark, so pretty. I don't think the area would suit those looking for an 18-30 type holiday but there is plenty to do in the evening once you have eaten, plenty of places to have a drink or do a quiz and the shops stay open very late.
Beaches are about 15 minutes from Lofos if you take the short cut (turn right and then left, keep following the winding road even if it looks like you will arrive in a back garden and you will soon find yourself in the town) and are pebbly so get a pair of good beach shoes (about 7 euros in the shops) but you can hire sunbeds (2.50) and parasols (2) for the day so you are comfortable and no sand getting in the way. The fish are also very friendly!
We couldn't actually find fault at all with this holiday (and we can be quite fussy). If you are happy with basic but clean accomodation, a good pool with a magnificent view, plenty of choice for dinner and after dinner drinks and a little exercise at the end of the night (not that sort of exercise tut tut) then this is most definately the place for you!

Room Tip: If booking a double room you may want to request not having the room next to the snack bar - not bas...

Spent 2 weeks at Lofos July 2012 for the first time. Had a fabulous, relaxing time with husband and 2 kids. Found the apartment spacious compared to other places we have stayed, very clean and although we always go "self-catering" it's not to cook! Happy with a fridge and a kettle! Air-con was a must given the heat (especially after the walk up) and we paid 100 euro for the fortnight - I thought this was worth it! The mattresses were a bit "firm" for me personally but would not let something like that spoil my holiday.

They offer a nice selection on the menu for breakfast and lunch - ideal for light eating during the day. We ate out every night and managed to visit 9 different restaurants - did not have one bad meal! It is a shame they do not have a bar area for socialising in the evening - more for talking to other guests!

The pool area is quiet so perhaps not great for young children - though mine are 9 and 12 and still enjoyed themselves.

Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing time during the day around a lovely pool, who likes to eat out, and doesn't mind the exercise of a "healthy walk"at the end of the night!

Room Tip: Our room was facing the back but still had great views of the greenery of the hills! Can enjoy the...

We have just returned from our first trip to Kassiopi and the Lofus apartments.
I did think it was expensive for what it was but we went to the village on the recommendation of a work colleague and Lofus due to trip advisor.
The rooms are basic but luckily we could afford to dine out. You just get 2 rings and a kettle (note no toaster).
We were stunned to find our balcony not only had one view of the sea but two.
We did buy the aircon and would have died if not as it was so hot.
We found the beds supremely comfortable and the rooms were kept very clean.
To cut to the chase the special thing about Lofus is it's location and the pool.
Yes there is a steep hill but it is very short and the walk into town is pleasant and safe (with a bar just before the hill starts!)
The pool again gives two views of the sea. We always found a bed and having walked past some apartments on the beach front Lofus was private and not overlooked.
All the food we had at the bar was good and the beer was extremely cold. We were just disappointed that there wasn't a weekly BBQ there during our stay.
What more could you want?
We will definately go back to Greece after this experience!

Have just got back from a week in Kassiopi, this is my second visit to Kassiopi, but my first stay at Lofos.

1st of all the access is steep and not for anyone with restricted movement.

The room was clean and tidy, and was kept this way with the maid in 6 days out of 7.

the room was typically greek... ie basic, but for the price, it is fine. (and you get a shower curtain)

The only thing i didn't like about the room was that there was nowhere comfortable to sit, (all hard chairs) and the beds were like sleeping on concrete they were so hard.

The pool area was beautiful with amazing views, the food from the bar was ok, but slightly overpriced. however the drinks were average.

(top tip buy your water from the bar for the room 2euros for 6 bottles and saves you walking up for the town)

We booked our tours through COSMIC in the town... nearly 30% cheaper than the reps prices.

make sure you eat at Junipers in the town... amazing quality food that changes each night. Both the owners are very friendly and always love to have a chat.

We have stayed at the Lofos 3 times now, 2008, 2010 and May 2012. These apartments are excellent, yes there is a hill but its worth it.
Spiros, Pipitsa and staff are so friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough for you, barbeque night is great and Spiros does the tastiest meat you will eat.
The apartments are spacious and cleaned to a high standard, the pool area is immaculate. These apartments are the most popular in Kassiopi, many of the people who stay here are repeat customers who return time and time again which says it all really.
As for the kichen/cooking facilities, who goes on holiday to cook anyway ?
We will stay at the Lofos again without hesitation, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Kassiopi.

As a returning visitor to The Lofos and having previously given a review, I can only say standards are still the highest, Spiros and Pipitsa and all the other staff are very welcoming and helpful . Rooms cleaned daily and the area around the Hotel is kept immaculate We have stayed start and end of season and admire the way the Hotel is run . A short walk takes you into the heart of the village. Hire a car by yourself in the village, or hire a quad bike , great fun
I would recommend this Apartment Hotel to anyone. Please ask me any questions and I will give real honest and personal replies

Room Tip: most rooms overlook the village but ask Olympic for a sea view for added enjoyment.
