we stayed at the imerolia in april 2013 for 7 nights from 21st, we only paid £87 for the room for 7 nights excellent price excellent spot right on the pebble beach and a jetty for fishing off the view is fantastic. The beds, pillows, bedding, towels, and room all clean. Most of the kitchen pots and pans were clean the mini oven a little dated but very clean on the inside. I was able to cook 4 full 3 course meals no problem. Plenty hot water but the shower had a little water pressure problem & could be temperamental. Its was very quite here all we could hear was the birds singing and the waves of the sea lovely, There is 5 rooms and 4 were full but we never heard anyone else.We had room 4 it has two balcony's so get,s the sun all day the view was ok one side was part mountains and part side of another house the other was part garden and part sea but still very pleasant. The best views are from rooms 1,2, and 3, we slept very well. It was out of season the owner was getting everything ready so the restaurant and bar was sadly shut. But a pleasant 10 min walk your in kassiopi which is far enough away not hear any noise. Here you have every thing from many, many, bars, all kinds of restaurants,we tried a different one every-night snack bars, ice cream, car hire, boat hire, clothes shops, Bakery's, butchers, gift shops, bike hire, cash machines, church, castle ruins, swimming pools you just have to buy a drink from them, there is one high up has fantastic views and great food, a harbour with many boats coming and going, there is 4 beach's all pebble/rock with in walking distance of the harbour. We always hire a car and drove to many other placers on the island we did have one bad wet day so went shopping in Corfu old town. Only one thing you have to pay extra for a TV and air con neither of which we needed, plus there is a kettle but no hair dryer. We would have no problem returning here its in a most beautiful place.

Room Tip: I would try and book a room with a sea view or view of the jetty at front of the apartment block

You know the times when you just need to get away? This was one of those. We booked not knowing what to expect but having done so, close friends gave a glowing report about the taverna (for food) and this whetted our appetite. Upon our arrival we were shown to our room. It was the usual Greek tourist bedroom. Twin beds, small shower room which had one of the mythical shower curtains that you don't normally see! We had no intention of cooking but having the option was good (although much of the equipment was missing or worn out). The most fantastic thing was the view from the balcony. The whole of Imerolia bay was laid out before you, beautiful. It was lunchtime so you have to try, don't you. 1st Greek salad of the holiday, Sardines, Kalamari and Mussels. All were excellent but noteworthy were the Mussels which were so soft and flavoursome,
dipping your bread with herb butter and olive paste was heavenly.
It was the last week of the season so the restaurant was only open during the day but that was ok as we enjoyed the 15 min walk into Kassiopi to wear off the calories.
Whilst the room and facilities were basic, you can't wish for a better placement. Apart from the great views, we would have a simple breakfast on the balcony with fresh coffee from the taverna below. When ready for a tiring day on the beach, gather our stuff, wander down the half dozen stairs, onto the taverna verandah, down 5 stairs onto the beach, turn left take 10 - 12 steps and flop onto a sun lounger at the waters edge! It don't get much better than that. During our stay, Spiros, Christina et al were great hosts. As friendly as you would want without being in your face. Unfortunately on our last day we missed our coach to the airport, Spiros was brilliant help phoning around for us to find alternative transport. Our verdict then? If you want a simple, beach based time away from it all, I don't think it comes much better than this. Especially when you consider the cost of the accommodation. Try it, I doubt you will be dissapointed.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 & 2 have sea views

As we were staying in Kassiopi, we decided it might be better to have lunch at Imerolia, rather than dinner, because the road back wasn't too well-lit at night. It's only a 15 minute stroll from Kassiopi centre; and the water lapping the narrow pebble beach in front of the taverna is clear and warm.

We booked a table (it was quite busy, midweek in September) and sat on the terrace, overlooking the bay - there's a choice of sun or shade, and some interesting shells decorating one internal wall. The service was prompt and friendly, and we were brought bread, garlic butter and a rich dark olive paste when the drinks arrived.

We opted for a Greek salad to share, kalamarakia (baby squid), whitebait and garlicky king prawns. The fish was perfectly cooked and the salad was fresh and crisp - amazing tomotoes!. Along with 2 large mythos, half a litre of a very pleasant chilled rose and Greek coffee to linger over, the bill came to 47 euros, which we thought was very reasonable for the quality of food we'd had.

Besides a few tables of 'couples', there was also a large family group of grandparents, parents and small children dining - and the owner made them (particularly the little ones) very welcome.

I am writting my review on the taverna only as I did not stay in the apartments( but must say they do look lovely from the outside)
We ate in the taverna on two different occasions and the food was lovely.
The taverna is set on imerolia beach so has fantastic views to take in whilst dinning.
One person in my party of four really wanted fish but did not know what. We were asked if we would like to go to the kitchen to see the fish which myself and freind did. The kitchen was possibly the cleanest I've ever seen and the staff went to great lengths to describe taste, texture etc of each fish.
The food was gorgeous, so fresh and tasty. I had the seafood pasta which was full of seafood and very very taster In fact I had that twice.
Overall lovely staff, gorgeous food and surroundings. Will definately be returning on my next visit.

If you book these studios. OK, they are not the biggest in the world, but you will go a long way to find a friendlier place to stay. There are only five studios so it has a 'personal' feel to it. Spiros, his wife Christina, and their family go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable. They run the Taverna underneath the apartments - specialising in fish. The views from the restaurant are best in Kassiopi in my opinion. I love the beach - NOT sandy thank goodness! The sea is lovely for swimming. Always calm unless a ferry has recently passed.

Just a 10 minute walk into town which has plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from.

We just love meeting up with friends either for lunch, dinner, or just for drinks after dinner, on the terrace. Wonderful relaxing place.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 and 2 are sea view.

i am rating this as a restaurant as i have never stayed here ..myself and my family have known spiros and christina for 20 years and everytime we go to kassiopi we eat here this is more of a fish restaurant but they do have other options..but the food is superb..we have gone for a drink there in the afternoon or moring and seen the fresh fish delivered and the lobsters still moving..that fresh... if you dine here you have the most beautiful view out to sea.and spiros always makes you very very welcome...this restaurant is not in central kassiopi its a ten min walk up the main road to get to it..but you would be a fool not to try this place...if you do say hi to spiros from me...

Friends and myself travelled to Corfu recently and stayed in the village of Kassioppi..We went end of April so the town was very quiet, but there were still restaurants & shops open..We stayed at Imerolia Taverna( it says Imerolia studios on here but he actual name of the apartments is Imerolia Taverna) make sure when you get there this is what you tell your taxi driver or when asking for directions as there was some confusion when we got there trying to find this place even though it was literally just off the main road..The apartments are very clean, basic with balcony, you either get a balcony facing the sea or one facing the street...The pebble beach is just outside the building, like 1 minute walk down the hill..Spirros the owner was very friendly and very helpful.. We didnt eat at the apartments as the restaurant was not open yet but the town is only a 10-15 min walk where you will find everything..We ate at Sousouro restaurant many nights and also at Taverna Costello...Let me tell you if I could pack these restaurants with me & bring them back to London I would..They are family run and its real traditional Greek food..There is a supermarket in town as well as several bakeries with the best desserts..Take a walk down to the Port as thats where the real life of the town is...All in all a fantastic holiday we spent all my time either eating or on the beach... We are a young group between 25-35 and we had fun so don't let the not so big presence of night life deter you( And this was off season so when the town opens for the summer there will be lots more)...You WILL have a fantastic time...

Room Tip: Ask for one overloking the sea....
