Description: Todo empezó en 1983.

We spent a couple of hours here one afternoon having drinks with family. It is a peaceful oasis in a central location. We sat in the shade on the terrace overlooking the garden with roses beside us and spent two leisurely hours unrushed or hassled by the world. We then attempted to book a table for lunch during the fiestas but understandably it was fully booked. More's the pity. Next time we visit we will definitely book for lunch in advance.

Estella was one more stop on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. By the time we arrived in the town, it was late afternoon, and I was exhausted from walking another 20+ kilometers while battling bronchitis. The town seemed dismal to me, so we asked the bartender in our hotel to recommend a nicer local restaurant to cheer us up. She highly recommended the Navarra as one of her favorites. We were greeted warmly, and the host sat us at a very nice table outside. I had he best filet of beef with Roquefort dressing that I've ever had in my life. The wine was excellent and affordable. I ended my meal with a traditional flan accompanied by a glass of sherry. Absolutely everything about this one meal was great, even the bottled water. It certainly lifted my spirits at the end if a hard day.

Huge saloon with medieval style chairs and tables with ceramic tiles. Ample garden for entrees or after lunch coffee, or full lunch / dinner when wheater acompanies. Good kitchen with quality products. Generous dishes served. Cabracho cake and spargus filled with sea food cannot be missed. I liked bacalao ajoarriero too. Chocolate dessert. House wine is good, no need to go deep into the wine list which is not too extense or appealling anyway.
