We spent a week here. From Thornbury to Meaford to Walters Falls to Wasaga Beach...it's all worth seeing. Be sure to spend a day at the Canada side of Niagra falls which is much more beautiful than the USA side.

I absolutely loved this harbour and enjoyed walking to the end and laying on the large rocks. I got some some snacks from the cheese place on the main drag and enjoyed them there as well. There were spiders between the rocks, so if that is something that will make you freak out, those large rocks may not be for you! Before laying on the rocks, I went for a walk along the beach and went out on a little area that lets you look around a bit more, it had rocks on it and just a bigger view of the water.

The harbour isn't a quiet place as there is boat traffic, but I still found it relaxing as it wasn't constant and it even seemed to blend in. I think that by the sandy beach area it is probably quieter, but I didn't spend a lot of time at that area.

All in all, this was a great relaxing place. I would definitely recommend a visit, even if it is only a few minutes long, This is a great spot to watch the sunset too!

Thornbury is at the mid-point of the Georgian trail. My daughter and I biked here from Collingwood (22 km). several places in Thornbury to eat. Dam Gastropub is excellent. this was featured in a YGEH episode. Thornbury harbour is a pretty place to walk around . Georgian bay water is crystal clear Caribbean blue.

Docks are all quite new with full services.
Dockage fees are expensive....over $90 for a 40' sailboat.
Harbour is very convenient to restaurants and shopping.
