Very well lit and spacious for taking photos and generally wandering around. A fun few hrs reading info cards for cars that peaked my interest. Reminded me of many a different movie with one or another of the cars.
Collections were a bit left field but interesting nonetheless.
Coffee was good too....

Even if you don't particularly like cars, I would think you would enjoy this museum. It has an amazing collection.

An excellent range of cars that will for the most part entertain even non-enthusiasts of motor vehicles. Some really quirky gems that must be exceedingly rare globally. Lots of space and photo opportunities both outside and inside - so a great stop for a picnic on a sunny day.

Only downside is stepping into the building is like stepping back into a 1970s government building. Very tired and too many displays have no sign, inconsistent signage, messy displays (could the bicycles be any more jumbled and what's with all the pepper & salt shakers!?) and not a whole lot of logic to the layout - it's a bit all over the place. However, that's just some friendly feedback - definitely worth a trip to this museum.

Allow for at least 2 or 3 hours to fully look around at all the great displays. As well as Cars many other interesting items including a large train set.
Would advise to visit early in the day on hot summer days as can be very stifling.

This place is a place full of history of the motor car and bike as well. To be able to stand and stare at so much history in the making of the horseless carriage from 1900 to our lifetime was so wonderful. To see a wheel off Donald Campbell's Bluebird the vehicle which we had touched in Adelaide when it was exhibited there in the 60's was historical to say the least. This beautiful purpose built building has 3 levels of vehicles of all shapes and sizes along with some bikes and planes. It is a must for the motoring enthusiast . Café and gift shop on site also. Plenty of free parking. Well done Southward family and thank you so much for this gift to we motoring fans.
