This museum is terrific - even if you are not a devoted car enthusiast. I took an elderly American friend who declared that he found a model of every car he had owned since the war. He also claimed that he had never seen a collection as great in the States. A highlight for the children with me was the US gangster car with incredibly thick bullet proof class and bullet holes in the body work. The cars are well presented and necessary details provided re age and so on. The price of admission is reasonable. The museum is out of Wellington city. I understand that buses to the museum are available for cruise boat passengers, so, if you get the opportunity, take it!
