With a multitude of great cafe’s and eateries to choose from in Te Awamutu, a debate was had prior to heading to Churchill’s, although a regular visitor to TA, I hadn’t been to Churchill’s before.
Service was mixed (barista was great), food wise – falafel was very dry, risotto was overly cheesy, fish and chips- soggy batter. Snail (YES) in the green salad was a shop stopper- lazy food prep. A Tip- when a customer mentions there was a snail in their food don’t mention occasions where spiders and caterpillars have suffered the same fate…
Free coffee / money back offered, but really. Thanks, but no.
Debating where to go next time we visit TA won’t take as long, Churchill’s has been crossed from the list.

“Standard Breakfast with great service”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

This cafe was recommended to me,and we decided to try it for brunch. The coffee was yummy and the staff were friendly polite and helpful. All our meals were hot and well presented. However two of us had the creamy mushrooms on toast and found they just tasted of strong garlic.lucky we like garlic or the meal would of been inedible.Overall a nice little place to vist.

“Small town value”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

The cafe was recommended to me, and did not let me down.
Had a 'subbie sandwich' with egg, bacon, hash brown and relish on a wholemeal loaf. YUM
Well staffed, quick service, long black was good and there was a supply of local papers for reading
WIFI apparently available but the staff member I spoke with couldn't find password

Will return

“Great cafe at the big roundabout with beautiful food”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We have been back recently (last month) and the coffee was just perfect! As for the food, it is divine because not only are there counter options when in a hurry, but a great variety from the menu. Highly recommend the slice.
