I wanted my kids to see for them selves the price of freedom. Normandy is just the place. The visitors center does a good job of telling the human story. The cemetery leaves you speechless.

Very Well Done. Moving.

We spent almost 4 hours at this cemetery both at the Visitor Center and grounds.
The Visitor Center has an extensvie interpretive museum/exhibition of WWII, focusing on the European Campaign and D-Day. We spent almost 2 hours viewing and reading the exhibits, followed by a 2-hour tour by one of the Cemetery's Interpretive Specialists. So well done.

Brings home the fact that our freedom is not free.

So sad to see the graves of these fathers, brothers, husbands, and sons. They were loved and lost and mourned through the years. Sad, Sad, Sad that it took that many lives. These persons are not forgotten and much appreciated in France. Site is well maintained and very much visited.

We visited this superbly maintained site on a sunlit day and took the opportunity to also walk on the beach. Very special

We took a tour of the American Cemetery and Utah Beach and Omaha Beach with a private tour company, Overlord Tours. The guide (Sean) was knowledgable, friendly, courteous and thorough. He was more than a guide actually, he was an historian with a vast knowledge of the battles and the cemetery. This was an extremely moving tour, one which all Americans will find poignant and emotional. I highly recommend Overlord Tours if you are in the area. We saw far more than those passengers who took the Princess tour from the ship. The price was reasonable, and it was an overall unforgettable experience thanks to Overlord.
