This cemetery and memorial is stunning. It was so moving to see such a beautiful monument and gorgeous resting place for those who served and sacrificed for freedom.

I don't know how an American can go to Normandy and not see the American Cemetery. It is peaceful and quiet, and feels properly respectful. It is hard to be hear without blinking back the tears. We went as part of a tour group, which was useful as the guide was able to point out several specific grave sites.

It is beautiful and very moving. The ceiling in the chapel is gorgeous. The statue is amazing. The trees are cut off at the top for the soldiers whose lives were cut short - truly moving!

This is a lovely memorial to those who lost their lives during the Second World War at the Normandy Landings. There is a lot to see but it is quite a tiring walk for those who are not very fit and the walk down to the beach we could not attempt.

The D-Day Beaches are something to see, and reflect upon World War II surely did encompass some of the men (and women) from the greatest generation.

This cemetery takes the reflection to the next level. It is acres of well-manicured and beautifully landscaped land. The location is stunning.

Truly breath taking, and a must see.

Be forewarned- You will gasp, you will awe and you will shed a tear or two. A very respectful place of rest for the men who gave their all
