I'm not often prompted to post reviews but we lucked on this place during a cycling tour and what a gem! Outwardly unpreposessing and modernist, the food was outstanding: having paid 2 euros each cover charge the previous night at a tourist pizzeria for nothing more than a table cloth, here for E1.50 we had a selection of artisan breads, one topped with grilled tomato, awesome balsamic and olive oil. The local artisan beers are definitely worth a try (we had the pizzica). We just had a pasta and salad but they were everything we could hope for. Just the sort of unexpected gem you hope for on a trip like this.
