This experience was worth the 2 kilos we gained. The food was so incredible, there is no word to describe it, the taste and presentation was of a 5 stars gourmet restaurant.
They also brings "extra" treats between dishes, I would go back to Beuvron only to eat at the Pave d'Auge

Impeccable service. site is amazing, outside tables in a picturesque town. And the food was astounding, great rabbit crude pate, well prepared fish. Well worth the drive.

Stayed at their hotel to visit this restaurant. Both were very very good. More staff than we could believe so seriously good service. Good choice of beautifully cooked food and a wine list from heaven.

Will try to get back sooner rather than later.

We paired this with a stay in the chef's wife's Chambre d'hôte . It made a wonderful first night . Regional cuisine with many options on the set price menu. We had a picky teen and she loved it. The chef accommodated a few requests very happily. As spoiled Northern Californians who live in the heart of great food, we were so impressed by the chef taking each order with warmth and no pretense. Our daughter compared the meal to fireworks with a finale of so many desserts! It was wonderful . We especially enjoyed the atmosphere, cheese and wine pairings.

We have been here twice, the second time it was the only reason to visit the town. All the food is delicious, great starters, mains, cheese selections, etc., and great wine selection with helpful staff and sommalier. Have had two deserts there, the souffle was my least favourite; ended with 1967 calvados, recommended by the sommalier and very good. Charming building and nice atmosphere.

Much cheaper than a UK 1 star and miles better; in a completely different league - could have 2 stars if it was in Britain.

The village itself doesn't have much, just a few hotels / b&b'santique shops, touristic local cider etc shops, and a couple of bars / pubs, but it is very picuturesque.
